*Added things from the default minecraft textures for now for the new things that were brought in the 1.7 update*

Have you ever wanted to see creeper/creeper like faces in everything? Well look no further, My Creeper Themed Pack will revitalize your Minecraft experience by providing textures that for the most part have creepers in them. Everything was made thru the use of The GIMP image editor (The images that is).

Things Currently Changed:
  • Entire Terrain.png file.
  • All the mob skins. (Note on Creeper Mob see Optional Notes)
  • All of the items.png
  • Custom animations for the water/lava/portal are included in the file (HD Patcher needed to utilize them)
  • Menu buttons.
  • Sun and Moon images.
  • The particles.png
  • Foliage and grass colors.
  • Pumpkinblur image.
  • Intro splash screen.
  • The Armor

Things Being Worked on:
  • The Art
  • Any of the other image files if anything seems like it should be tweaked.

Additional Notes

Do to Exams closing in the texture pack may be updated slowly, depending whether or not I devote some time to working more on this. The font will also not be changed.

It tried to make everything by hand so textures I created for mobs for a creeper look may not be exactly what you would think of when you hear the word creeper. The only exception to this is the creeper mob, which I switched out its textures with the default steve textures.

Images for this will be added/updated as the progress of it increases.

*Updated for 1.7*

Update #5 : 05/26/2011 9:26:27 pm5/26/11

Added graphic for the hatch, maps, and the little wild grass things, but havn't changed them yet. Will change them in the next update.

Update #4 : 05/18/2011 7:58:22 pm5/18/11

Finally done with items, dyes are now liquids in jars with a cork at the top....

All that is left is the art.

Update #3 : 05/06/2011 9:22:50 pm5/06/11

Changed arrows into darts, and worked on some more items from the item png.

Update #2 : 05/06/2011 7:18:34 pm5/06/11

Added some more picks for most of the animals, enemies, and the GUIs (Achievements gui not changed yet).

Update #1 : 05/05/2011 12:00:00 pm5/05/11

Updated the GUIs to match the rest of the texture pack.
Corrected the format of the compressed file so that it would show up as a selectable texture pack.

aside from editing some textures in the texture file for the tallgrass, and the map/achievements screen, all that is left is the art.... which really I have no idea at all for what to use as creeper art...

I really can't think of what to add painting wise, as truthfully not much can be done art wise when the theme is creeper.....

Actually, there can be lots done with the creeper. you can carve it's face into a mountain, put a creeper infront of a house saying ssssssss, there are so many things you could do, you just need to find them! Note: mabey there could be a subspecies of creeper with different colors to help you along. (hint) (hint)

I lol'd at the Minecraft Steve Creeper!

Surprisingly the steve skin when well with the creeper body.... if the pack wasn't creeper themed, that may actually be enough to trick some people into letting their guard down near it....

It is still getting there though... all thats left is the item pack, and the art I believe... The art is slightly harder, as I really have no idea what to do for art that would just be spamming creepers....

Very clever! I'll be watching this one. My only suggestion is you cut back on the noise overall. Namely on you GUI, but I personally prefer real shading over noise.

Other than that, awesome! Upvoted and fav'd! :)

True hal, the noise was mainly because of well you know how the creeper has the noise effect on it.... I may try to maybe still have the noise effect but try to make it more subtle.... if thats even possible.

It think the noise works somewhat on the main inventory and workbench screens, but I guess it should be toned down for the furnace and dispenser as it does seem like the noise stands out to much on those.

I agree, you need some noise for the Creeper flavor... I'd just do so more..... conservatively.

Hmmm... I think I know where you are getting at, with the noise being painful on the eyes if used to much, I know the noise used on the furnace and dispenser guis probably needs to be changes, I may look through some of the terrain, but I didn't see to many that clashed out to much.

I'll probably try and integrate my stone/cobblestone textures into the furnace and dispenser guis, as I did that with the workbench and they may make it seem better too.

Well aside from the textures of blocks items, and most mobs being creeper themed, I actually put the steve skin on the creepers..... which may make them stand out or trick you depending on whether or not you are expecting them to be steve....

If only the creeper had is default or slightly greener texture.... Really he just have the steve texture on him.... I may think about switching him to a more original looking one that is just brighter green that way they can blend in....

If you are talking about the mobs, I added the red pupil for really just to make it seem like a mix between the creeper and the regular mob.... I may try out ones with no eyes to see if it looks good that way.

Yeah I will evetually get the armors and art done. More than likely the art will take longer as I figure out what to even put for the little paintings.

Hmm its great for getting a few lols out of your texture.

I may change the cactus and pumpkins to have more creeper looking faces.... not that it matters as the creeper does look different.... But then again just catching a view of some sugar cane or cactus out of the corner of your characters vision may make it seem like a creeper.

Thanks. The terrain file is likely to be changed in small increments as
I know some of the textures may be weird (Like the bright green
bedrock).

Overall, I believe I can get the item images done relatively quick, though the GUIs will take longer if only so that they can all seem to fit together in the theme of the pack.
