For centuries, the endlessly-tiling geometrical patterns of Arabesque architecture have symbolized the infinite nature of the universe. In this texture pack, they’re a reflection of the limitless worlds generated by Minecraft. Patterns inspired by Moorish, Persian, and Arabian motifs are most evident in sandstone, brick, glass, iron and gold blocks, lapis lazuli, and lightstone.

Other features:
  • Custom animated water and lava
  • Omni-tiling tapestries
  • "Resonating" block damage animation
  • Sand has ripples; obsidian has luster; gravel has depth
  • Pine foliage has brown branches; birches have "stands" of multiple trunks
  • Cake has pistachio nuts and rose petals

I haven't updated this pack for 1.2 yet, but the HD version should be current.

Do you still plan to update this one? It was my favorite pack, and I really miss it. Somehow the HD version doesn't have the same magic for me...

Sure -- I'm just trying to come up with better patterns for the new stone & sandstone blocks. The HD ones don't scale down very well...

The texture pack may have it self been in a folder. by this I mean all the things were already in a folder, so when you download it and it gets unzipped, it may have gotten put into the unzipped folder location while inside a folder.

i dont entirely know what it means but i do know you can avoid that by getting it from a third party like mediafire. unfortuanatley, i cannot seem to see that on this pack, so i dont know how ill get it ): can anybody else offer any explanation or a way to get this pack?

While I find some of the textures a bit grainy, this is overall one of the most beautiful texture packs out there. The mobs and much of the items sheet are unchanged, but everything from the terrain sheet is richly detailed and patterned. The wool blocks have a different pattern for every color, but the patterns flow into each other at the edges so that they still look good in multicolor creations. The paintings seem a little too similar at first, but are designed to merge seamlessly so that you can cover your walls in tapestries of any shape and size. (Yes, I realize, the artist said the same thing in fewer words :)

I especially love the breaking animation, and the lava and water animations, which are my favorite out of every pack I've seen so far.

If you haven't downloaded this yet, do it. Definitely worth upgrading to the HD version, though, for those who can.

Any texture I try to download under the Download Texture Pack option doesn't work for me.  Do you know why?  If it's a link from another sight it's fine.  But anything under that link it just tells me the file is invalid.
