Simplistic Craft is designed for a neat yet effective Minecraft layout. It's 8x8 texture allows you to see Minecraft in a beautiful, less-laggy way.
Simplistic Craft has redesigned every block's texture to make it connect with each other more. For instance, wool has been transformed to one single, simple colour [e.g. red wool is filled in just red].
Simplistic Craft is a definite work in progress. I am about 85% finished, and by the end, hopefully, there will be a "Youtube Trailer" and a full, official release.
The release of Simplistic Craft is not yet comfirmed, but we will be looking in about 3/4 weeks, so make sure to subscribe for more!
Here is a list items that have, so far, been changed :

Not only is the idea over-used, if you compare his textures with the default ones he's clearly just done a whole lot of colouring in with a single colour from the originals, leaving maybe a tiny bit of the original shading detail.
