Hello!, This is Faerielight - A very High defintion photo realistic texture pack. It took me a little over a year to make and I'm still constantly working on it. It's my goal to update at least once a week. 

It has verions from 256x256, 128x128, 64x64, and 32x32. The 256 is the absolutely highest quality, however 32 really I made for my kids, and is not as wonderfully detailed as the 256.

I have redone everything from mobs to textures, items, weather, gui, font.. etc. I do have a license for Filter Forge and that is where a significant amount of my textures were created, other than that they are free-use, have gotten permission, or I created them myself. A Credit.txt is located within each zip.

This is the 256x256 version, the 128 version is located :

Additional Details

Requirements - 
Please note that to really unleash my texture pack I suggest you use McPatcher, but optifine works as well, you just will not have the random biome specific mobs that appear when you use McPatcher, nor will you have clouds, or stars. 

Please contact me if you have any problems, or if the game is not working. I usually do extensive testing to make sure things are working properly before I release my pack, but I do make mistakes from time to time =)

I have to give you many kudos to this texture packs. Its very beautiful and amazing. I'm wondering if you can make a 564x564 (i think that is the size) texture pack? Also can i suggest a different color for the background of the crafting box/invy crafting and the text is hard to read in the creative mode.

I recommend at a later date when Minecraft comes to a stop of its massive updates to make this pack compatible with some of the more popular shader mods. Not necessary, but can make the game look beautiful :)

Ok I am new to this and I could use some help. I downloaded this texture pack but didn't unzip it yet, and downloaded Mcpatcher and the magic launcher then when I tried to loggin with magic launcher or minecraft it just went black, so I uninstalled all, reinstalled minecraft, still black, force update now I can loggin and I'm hoping that was what was wrong I just needed to update? So is there a specific order I need to install all these programs in? Please help! Thank you

Ok I am terribly impatient so I tried to reinstall mcpatcher and then tried to open at that point and after loggin screen went black, so I unpatched and all was well. So it seems mcpatcher is the issue am I doing it wrong? Thanks in advance for your help. Your texture pack looks awesome hope to try it out soon. :)

Hi there, 


First you need to run MCPatcher, and click the settings you want it to use, personally I have everything ticked but better grass. 


Then, you press Patch. When that is finished, you move my texture pack (It needs to still be zipped up) into your texture pack folder, which is at 


%appdata%/roaming/.minecraft/texturepacks


Then if you want to use Magic Launcher, close McPatcher (After of course pressing patch) and run the launcher. My personal settings on that are 512mb to launch with. 


Then you should see the default Mojang logo, once you're in the game, press Texture Packs and select mine.


It should work. You don't ever want to add my texture pack to the game through McPatcher.

Thank you for your quick response. I've done it this way except using magic launcher and some things are different for example sheep and chests I have noticed but blocks like cobblestone, waters, beds etc look the same. What do I do?
Ok I tried closing and reopening minecraft and now almost everything is white. :(

It sounds like to me that it's not patching properly, you may want to try a lower resolution to see if that works for you? Also are you starting with a clean minecraft.jar?

   Finally a texture pack worth-while! The textures are amazing, and the detail is very well done. This texture pack has a unique feel, and it stands out from the others. I love the text, it's simple yet elegant. I also enjoy the GUI. But my favorite texture would have to be the enchantment table, it's definitely unique. Good job! You definitely earned this diamond.

Tried that, even placing redstone torches near them to make them extend. Perhaps retest with another 256x256 texture pack and see if it does it too?

Then can you please upload a screenshot. Not that I am doubting you, but you managed to download a 100 mb file in like.. 30 seconds, and that may be why you're experiencing bugs.
