I think the Creeper should be something else, like maybe a Bob-Omb, since it drops bob-ombs (gunpowder). Cause, y'know, Boom Boom doesn't really explode. (Man, that's irony.)

But don't see it as a Boom Boom. See it as a Boom Boom that carries Bob-Ombs around, which is why he drops them. There is a lesson to learn here: never carry Bob-Ombs around because you will explode...

The creeper isn't textured like a Boom Boom because he explodes, but because of it's shape. There are many creeper Bob-Ombs out there and I don't like how any of them are looking. And that is why the creeper shall never look like a Bob-Omb in this pack.

well, the Blazes are already Fire Chomps and I don't really want two mobs that have different descriptions look the same. I'm gonna stick with Boom Boom for this one, it's the best solution.

Your preview images aren't helpful. Can you please upload some actual in game screenshots of your texture pack in use?...

All you got to do is hit F2 while you are playing. The screenshot will be saved in the "screenshots" folder within your minecraft folder.

This will help you get more downloads.

That may be true... but that doesn't help people (like me) who look at the pictures and want to see what it actually looks like before downloading it.


Please see "General Submission Rules" specifically the 4th bullet down.


It states "You must include in-game pictures for all servers, projects, texture packs and mods."


I'm not trying to be a stickler... nor am I flagging this post. I'm just trying to give good advice to help improve the texture pack. They wouldn't put it in the rules if it wasn't important for the PMC community's quality and community. :)

The least you can do is to upload at least one in-game picture and then everyone will stop asking for them. :)

I wouldn't really mind since I didn't make the textures myself of course. If you make them yourself it would look the same so sure you can use some of my animations for credit.
Bear in mind that Minecraft 1.5 is going to support animated textures but therefor the animated textures we'll have to be moved and coded which I haven't done yet.

in my blogpost I said I would create new Mariocraft before I update this pack. I'm doing that first because I'm not sure about the future of old Mariocraft yet, but I'll probably update it too. And yes I will make a mirror link.

Ok 1.4 ideas
witches: magikoopas
bats: swoopers
wither: king boo (it took a while to figure out, but the two other heads could be smaller boos that shoot even smaller boos at you XD)
wither skeletons: darker dry bones
carrots: yoshi apples (they breed pigs now so ya) (also gold carrot should be gold yoshi apple)
change apple texture to who knows what
carrot on stick: yoshi apple on stick
potato: more mario-style looking potato (same for poisonous and baked)
cobble walls: just cobble texture but for walls (unless you can think of better idea)
anvil: thwomp or anvil yoshi thing u were talking about
pots: small pipes
nether star: king boos crown 
the beacon could look like king boos crown put in a glass textured block
heads should look like the mobs they are based off (duh)
command block: pipes? idk
item frames: just more mario-like frames....(maybe blue because thats what the leather color is)
locked repeater: strip of bedrock texture over regular repeater
add a new painting for the new wither painting
wooden buttons should look like normal plank texture except smaller (also duh)
pumpkin pie: more mario looking 
completely dyable mario armour
change eiither zombie or armour texture so you dont see koopas wearing mario/luigi/waluigi/warios clothes XD
Koopa toad people for zombie villagers
new health stuff
Well, this is really huge, and kind of over obsessive........ and you probably have already updated everything by the time this is posted............ so yeah. tell me what you think, if you actually read all that!

wither: Naval Piranha shooting needlenoses at you, how's that?
wither skeletons: Maybe stalking piranha plants but the floating sword is a bit weird.
carrots: You mean berries? Maybe, but berries are apples too so I'll have to think about that.
potato: Onions! :D
cobble walls: I'm afraid I have no choice but to use the cobble texture.
anvil: Both.
pots: Vases from Super Mario Bros 2.
nether star: Grand Star!
beacon: Beacon from Super Mario Galaxy
heads: Yep.
command block: Text block thingy from Super Mario World
item frame: Also yep.
locked repeater: Once again I won't have a choice.
Maybe, but paintings had nothing to do with the actual paintings anyway.

Another Idea:


Improve health, hunger, and armor bars. Health should be the heart from Super Mario Bros. 2 US (Super Mario All Stars version), Hunger should be mushrooms, and armor should be Mario's cap.

I'm not too pleased with the bars myself. They were supposed to represent the health bars... or circles from SM64 or SMG maybe, with the coins as armor even though it's not really Mario's armor in these games. But yeah those have been edited already, but maybe Mario's cap is a better idea than the life mushrooms from SMG.

I was thinking about doing that. Would be funny that he would get angrier the closer it is to breaking! Also there's an enemy called anvil from Yoshi's Story which is like a Thwomp, maybe parts of the anvil will be representing this guy.
