Hello fellow Minecraftians, and welcome to Modern Refined. This texture pack brings a new perspective to Minecraft, changing the fantasy-themed default into something believable. The pack is great for creative building, as well as being tailored to survival. Simply put, this texture pack is a win-win combination for anything you require.

The pack came to mind after seeing Moderncraft lose development many eons ago. I resolved to use what I knew from skinning experience and inputted it right into texturing. A lot of similarities, I must say. As I got to work on the terrain blocks, I knew that this was going to be amazing. More amazing than my Tribes Mod becoming a texture pack.

There are a lot of confusing elements changed due to the realism, but I’m 106.28% sure you will understand these once they are explained.

IF YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT BLOCKS ARE WHICH AND WHY THEY WERE TEXTURED THIS WAY, PLEASE DIVERGE YOUR EYES TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS SUBMISSION.

Blocks

TNT is now a nuclear bomb.

Flowers are now in bushes/clumps.

Bedrock is now Caution Block. Caution means you cannot go further otherwise more consequences will ensue.

Blocks of Diamond/Gold/etc are tiles.

Sponge is Dolan. Dolan plz y u textor it dis wei? Iz caus' noe 1 uzi's it mk gooby? K dolan :(

Redstone is now Copper. Redstone ore is embedded copper wiring.

Desert shrubs are now tumble-weeds.

Crafting tables are Blueprint benches.

Furnace is now an Oven, which turns on.

Dispenser is now a Vending Machine.

Jukebox is now a CD player.

Torches are now reinforced with steel, not wood.

Iron doors are see-through glass.

Ladders are made for steel. Strong enough to support your mum.

Iron bars are now Wire Mesh.

Netherrack is Red Marble.

Soul Sand is now Fertile Soil.

Glowstone is Fluorescent Lighting.

Rails are now Subway style.

Birch trees are now textures like Palm trees.

Pumpkins are TV's. Jack-O-Lanterns are TV's turned on. If Optifine or MCPatcher is installed, a show will play.

Cake is now chocolate mud cake. Yummy yum yumsies!

Melons are now Watermelons.

Cauldrons are rubbish bins.

Enchanting Tables are now School Desks. Learn how to make your weapons more efficient!

Cocoa Beans are now Coconuts.

Obsidian is Reinforced Iron, built for a strong doorway to the Million Dollar Mile (the Nether).

Nether Bricks are now white, shiny bricks, for the rich families living in the MDM.

Nether warts are now Orange Bushes.

Lava is now Sewerage Waste.

Mobs:

The character now fits a modern theme, while sticking to the original Steve.

Creepers are now Suicide Bombers. They lost their arms and now continuously bleed.

Enderman are now Thieves.

Zombie Pigmen are Bodyguards, who protect the rich folk in the MDM.

Silverfish are now Maggots.

Skeletons are now Thugs with balaclavas and spring-load rifles.

Zombies are now Gangsters, using their fists to punch the blood outta you.

Items:

The Bow is now a spring-loaded rifle, with custom charge animation.

Arrows are now golden decal bullets.

Less changes than 1.1, but still quite major. Expect the next update to be in over a week, as I'm going out of state to have fun at a gaming expo. Have fun and leave some comments!

Many changes this week, listed below.

Terrain:

- Changed Wood textures and colours (All four)

- Fixed any textures that used the previous wood texture

- "On" furnace glow is more distinguishable

- Trapdoor deriving textures for the sides have been fixed

- Cauldron is now a dark-blue rather than light-grey iron

- Changed white nether brick to look more "bricky"

- Added nether wart textures
