Hey you didnt failed with your texture pack you just dont know what program to use. if you had the correct program you could make a great texture pack and you will get a lots of diamonds P.S ( use the GIMP program for the texture pack)

Ok, next time, don't, use, paint. Paint makes all the transparent parts a certain color, while another software like GIMP won't. Good job though, it looks nice.
