you dont just install them and it works here let me guide you on how to first download it then press show in folder now forget about it then press the start menu type %appdata% go to roaming then .minecraft then texture packs (or open the game click texture packs then texture packs folder) now drag the downloaded texture pack to the texture packs folder go to minecraft (the game not the folder) then texture packs ad mods then it should be there click on it then done and then just start playing minecraft :) hope i helped
