Friends of RetroRidge, I'm sorry there is no 1.0 update yet. I've been too busy to even think about the huge transition from 1.8 to full release. As soon as I get a chance I'll begin updating but, until then you can try my new pack RidgeCraft, not quite as cool from what I've been told but, in my eyes, RidgeCraft is the superior pack.

Would you guys prefer a solid RetroRidge 1.0 update or, would you prefer a RidgeCraft customizer featuring all the old RetroRidge textures so you can mix and match?

I'm leaning towards customizer but, at this point, RetroRidge is about the fans so let me know what you guys think :)

HUGE Update for Minecraft Beta 1.4!

terrain: minor fixes and tweaks to terrain.png, made gradient on sun and moon square to fit pack theme

armor: finally armor! All types and kinds get the RR overhaul (excluding chainmail)

mobs: added highlights and shadows to all mobs, changed squid to a white-ish color, still can't see them under water :(

gui: all new dirt/grass themed gui!

plus: a bunch of other little stuff i've tweaked since the last update but I can't remember because there's a lot of strands in the old duder's head. I realize this presents some major changes to Retro Ridge, and some of you may not like it. I'm splitting this pack into another called Ridgecraft, which will retain the old gui and lean towards more default colorings. I'm gonna see how far I can take Retro Ridge and recolor some of the terrain with more retro colors and eventually make the items blocky too! I was working on the water and lava just before the update but, they're just not ready yet and I have to wait for the HD texture fix to update before I can work on them again. Expect another Retro Ridge Update in the next couple weeks and Ridgecraft to release in the near future!

When you rush you sometimes fumble

Sorry for the sportsball reference..and the double bump but, I released the 1.3 compatible pack a little hastily. Here's the fixes:

terrain: wood planks changed completely to work with new blocks, bed fixed to tile better, redstone repeaters re-styled, also touched up crafting table

items: added new bed and repeater default textures to correspond with 1.3 blocks

beta 1.3 compatible! I set the progress down from 90% to 60% because I've decided to polish the entire mob and re-texture the entire items table!

terrain: added bed, redstone repeater and grayscale redstone wire

mob: polished creeper

GUI: new gui and background

environment: added space invader pixels to cloud.png

armor: diamond armor

terrain: I went through and added some extra highlights and shadows to nearly every block.

improved wood planks, bookshelf, doors, wheat, cobblestone, bricks, sandstone, cake and every color of wool

item: cake, sugar cane, seeds, wheat
