rRPG: Rayner's RPG Texture Pack

This pack is perfect for SMP as I have tried it myself--and is good for RPG adventure maps and the like. It took me some time to complete so any downloads would be appreciated. In the latest edition there are plenty of new textures for you to enjoy.

I'm incredibly pleased with the growing success of rRPG and I'd like to thank everybody who's ever downloaded it.

I've edited almost everything and the stuff that I haven't edited will be at some point as I personally love this pack.

In case you're wondering, I do have this pack on for personal use.

What else can I say? Well, enjoy the pack and I would love feedback on it.

rRPG now has mod support for the following mods;

Mightypork's Backpack Mod

TrentonYo's "The After" Mod (This mod is currently not updated, but will be soon.)

Please report any issues with mod compatibility, as that is very important to me.

If you have a mod that you would like to be supported by rRPG, comment below or message me via PM.

Additional Notes

POSSIBLE QUESTIONS AND THEIR ANSWERS:
Q: Can I please use this Texture Pack in my YouTube Let's Play?
A: Of course you can. However, full credit is required. (By full credit, I mean a link to the texture pack in the YouTube video description, or merely a mention.)

Q: Can I please use some of your textures as placeholders, or even actual textures in my texture pack?
A: You can use my textures as placeholders, but, under no circumstances may you upload any of my work--if you are using a placeholder, you are to remove it before uploading. As for my textures, same goes--you may not upload my work. I don't care if you credit me, you may not. If that is not clear, please, message me and we can discuss it further.

Q: Can I please upload this pack on PMC, and elsewhere so long as I credit you?
A: No. If you knew how much time it took to make a Texture Pack, you wouldn't even ask me that. Do not upload my work, claiming it as your own, or not.

Q: Can I please tell all my friends to download this pack?
A: Please do. A lot of time went into this pack and I want you guys to enjoy it.

Q: Why did you do a Light/Regular/Dark?
A: Well, I guess because I was bored and decided it could look cooler lighter or darker. I know people prefer different light levels from Texture Packs, so there's something for everybody.

Q: What happened to rRPG Light and rRPG Dark?
A: I just can't keep updating them. PM me if you DESPERATELY want them. I'm sure we can arrange something.

Q: Can I tell you that I don't like this pack!?
A: Feel free, honestly, I like all feedback. But actually explain why you don't like it as opposed to simply saying it's bad. If I don't get told how to improve, how am I supposed to get better?

Q: Y DIS PACK SUK SU MUCH LOL!?
A: Go away.

Message me with any other questions you may have, and enjoy the pack.

Update #40 : 01/10/2013 12:45:21 am1/10/13

Updated to 1.4.7.

Update #39 : 01/07/2013 6:33:05 am1/07/13

Updated to 13w01b.
Made some of the associated textures.

Update #38 : 12/10/2012 5:17:35 am12/10/12

Updated to 1.4.5.
Some notable inclusions were mod support for two mods and the updating of textures such as potatoes.

Update #37 : 11/15/2012 4:31:25 am11/15/12

Updated to 1.4.4.
Fixed a few issues.

Update #36 : 11/01/2012 1:19:05 am11/01/12

Fixed a very serious issue with Zombie mobs.

Implemented various forgotten textures, as well as fixed any visible errors.

1.4.2 ready.

Update #34 : 10/30/2012 6:35:32 am10/30/12

Added some new textures.

Update #35 : 10/30/2012 3:09:38 am10/30/12

1.4.1 Edition!

rRPG is now 1.4.1 compatible. The only real inclusions were to make that the case.

Update #33 : 10/03/2012 9:00:41 am10/03/12

Updated to the latest snapshot.

Updated to new GUIs etc.

Various textures done/changed.

Update #32 : 09/07/2012 7:48:25 am9/07/12

Made rRPG: Rayner's RPG Minecraft 12w36a Compatible.
-Textured carrot
-Textured golden carrot

Update #31 : 08/12/2012 4:04:02 am8/12/12

1.3.1 Update

Update #30 : 08/01/2012 5:03:34 am8/01/12

Added Tripwire Hooks and Tripwire String into the texture pack. Therefore rRPG: Rayner's RPG should be completely compatible with the pre-release, and indeed the full version 1.3, assuming no new textures are added.

Update #29 : 07/27/2012 4:51:22 am7/27/12

1.3 Pre-Release Edition.

Added Emerald Block.
Fixed Jungle Saplings. A far more presentable sapling, looks less like a totem pole.
There will be a few texture tweaks in the 1.3 Full Release Edition (which will be released shortly after August 1st assuming Mojang releases the game update then). Mostly just sharpening the pre-existing textures etc.

I started adding Aether support (not implemented in this version) and I'd certainly like to get it finished, but that could take quite a while.
I'm incredibly interested in adding mod support, so if you want your mod supported by rRPG: Rayner's RPG, let me know.

Might re-introduce Light/Dark, hit up the comments if you want to see them back.

I'm incredibly impressed with rRPG: Rayner's RPG's growing popularity, and I must thank you all for your continued support. It's been great! Can't wait until we reach another 7,000.

Count down the days until August 1st!

Update #28 : 07/23/2012 6:35:12 am7/23/12

Fixed the horrible GUI issue.

Update #27 : 06/19/2012 2:30:50 am6/19/12

Added new glowstone again. I think I like this one the best.

Update #26 : 06/16/2012 5:09:45 am6/16/12

Update for rRPG Original fixed still an issue.

Update #25 : 06/07/2012 7:07:51 pm6/07/12

Worked a lot on mobs in this update.

Updated Light and Dark as well.

Update #24 : 06/06/2012 6:11:35 pm6/06/12

Added rRPG Light and Dark.
As I said, depending on the reaction, I might continue them.

Update #23 : 06/03/2012 5:21:14 am6/03/12

Experimented with new leaves for jungle trees.

Update #22 : 06/01/2012 8:11:37 am6/01/12

5,000 download celebration! rRPG was originally made over a 2 week period because I didn't have a laptop that would run Minecraft, therefore I was bored. So, I spent the entire two weeks working on it, and months later, here it is!

Thankyou for the continued support, and I can't wait to reach another 5,000 sometime in the future!

Updated to 12w22a.

Updated a few paintings, the pictures showing them and a few stats.

Managed to have the mirror download on par with the actual download.

Update #21 : 05/30/2012 2:17:57 am5/30/12

Added a mirror download. Should be constant in the next versions.

Update #20 : 05/29/2012 6:17:04 am5/29/12

I added random mob support, considering that's a component of MCPatcher.

Pigs and chickens were added, and more will probably be on the way in the next rRPG.

I also think I'm relatively suited for 12w21b.

Update #19 : 05/24/2012 9:09:19 pm5/24/12

Updated to Snapshot 12w21a.

Made Emerald Ore actually green as opposed to red.

I probably did something wrong considering I don't use the snapshots. If there's an issue, leave it in the comments.

Update #18 : 05/24/2012 4:26:43 am5/24/12

Fiddled around with the villagers and made them more diverse.

Update #17 : 05/22/2012 3:05:07 am5/22/12

Added the foundation for TESTIFICATES. I'll end up individualising them in the next update.

Update #16 : 05/20/2012 5:11:29 pm5/20/12

Changed the boat to the rRPG wood texture.

I added a custom breaking sequence for survival mode (when you break a block).

Iron, Gold Diamond Blocks were edited, so they didn't look like terrible wool.

Your GUI still needs to be fixed and cocoa beans should be changed. Mobs are still half finished and I don't see any textures for the anvils.

Still a great pack that I've reviewed the first time around. I see you kept the gravel I adore.

Wait, I think in the latest Snapshot they gave each item it's own Texture File, so the stuff in the Snapshots should just have their original Texture. Speaking of which... Does this pack require Optifine or anything?

Rather good compared to most texturepacks.

however theres a few things that are a bit 'off' looking to me.

1. the textures dont go together well, just how the dirt and stone look is strange seeing them together...

2. the cow.. i just dislike, needs more shading.

3. i actually like the cobblestone alot. not negative :p perhaps use a smoother version as the stone?

4. the wooden planks look a bit... too plank like. not really a nice roof/house material in this. but a rather nice flooring....

5. the grass green is a bit... harsh, should be a little duller by my opinion, but it could be the biome causing it.

6. the paintings are rather nice, just saying. (not really critism, just saying)

7. perhaps darken the stick on the torches a little, so it looks a little bit more realstic, and i only mean darken a LITTLE.

and im not trying to be rude, just saying.

i also quite like everything i didnt mention, however ive never used many texturepacks...

No no, thanks for the honest opinion. I can see what you mean about the dirt and the stone, and as for the cow, that was when I was just starting out as a texturer, so forgive the crudeness. Hopefully I can do a whole mob revamp at a later stage. I like the suggestion regarding cobble. I'll experiment with that. I agree about the wood, also, and again I'll probably experiment with it later.

I'm glad you like the pack overall, and I certainly enjoy hearing the suggestions of the public. Thanks a lot.

Pretty niffty little pack! I think a few of the textures could use a little extra push to get the seams better, but over all I think you've done a good job. I going to check back on your previous works and and look forward to more from you in the future!
