OFFICIAL YOUTUBE CHANNEL DOCUMENTING ITS PROGRESS (brand new):http://www.youtube.com/AlanBeckerMinecraft

Use this if you want to explore my Spirited Away world!

Basically, if you DON'T use this, the world I made looks like crap.

MOST of the textures were created by me. If they weren't they were borrowed fromthe faithful32pack...
...which is essentially the default texture pack expanded to 32x32
Many textures inspired by jolicraft

Changed Rail Texture : 03/03/2014 1:29:12 am3/03/14

Added new Wool Textures : 02/13/2014 5:10:12 pm2/13/14

Huge texture update! Hardened Clay, Sandstone, Sand : 02/08/2014 12:49:15 pm2/08/14

Vases, Paintings : 01/18/2014 4:53:38 pm1/18/14

I’ve made some changes to the texture pack, including the item images of the sign, name tag, and brick (to be placed in item frames), new paintings, as well as ALL of the ore textures, to look like different vase designs.Image

Sponge, Tall Flowers! : 12/30/2013 5:32:25 pm12/30/13

Made the sponges look like baskets! and made the flowers look like the flowers in the movie.

HUGE UPDATE (along with the world) : 12/12/2013 2:16:23 pm12/12/13

End Portal now looks like a fancy china dish, and when you put in an Eye of Ender, it looks like sushi.
Yellow wool looks like Yubaba's Curtains
Acacia Wood planks look like Yubaba's red wallpaper
Netherrack looks like piles of chicken
Quartz Ore looks like raw cow carcass
End stone looks like the weird fat dumplings that Chihiros dad was slurping up
Acacia Wood, since it has a silver outside and red inside, I made it into a cross section of a salmon. looks amazing.
Cake looks like a bento box, and when eaten, the cross sections of the fish and tempura shrimp can be seen.

Bed looks like a bench.
Oak wood planks have been darkened, and Birch wood planks are now as dark as Oak wood was.
Spruce wood planks have vertical panels, nice for sheds
Spruce Log looks like a fancy stained wood for beams and such
Lapis Lazuli block looks like the blue tiles in Yubaba's kitchen
Dark Oak Log looks like the black beams that have gold trim, inside the bath area
Made my own stone texture, took forever, it's hard.
Redstone lamp used to be the crosshatch fence stuff outside the bathhouse entrance, now it looks like a lamp that's been turned off. Coal block has taken its place as the cross hatch fence.
Cocoa beans now look like lanterns (beautiful) and since they can only be placed on Jungle logs, I made Jungle logs look more like old mossy wood
Iron block looks like steel paneling with rows of bolts
Changed furnace/dispenser/dropper to look like the freaky moss covered faces in the field. When you put coal in the furnace face, the mouth opens and glows orange :)
Crafting table looks like Yubaba's desk
Emerald block looks like the green cushions in baby's room

Silver stained glass looks like windows with some grime on the glass surface.
White stained glass looks like japanese white paper doors that slide open
Brown stained glass looks like wood, for the bottom of those doors
Red stained glass has a japanese character on it, seen in some of the ghost town windows
Green stained glass looks like some of the windows in the ghost town as well as Yubaba's bathroom windows that Chihiro slams through after climbing the ladder
Purple stained glass and Blue stained glass look like various stained glass designs seen in the ghost town.

Updated for 1.7.2 : 11/07/2013 10:30:25 am11/07/13

Big oak planks were changed to look like the dark roofing used on most of the buildings in the movie. spruce logs were smoothed out to mimic the dark stained wood pillars inside the building. added painting of no-face's mask, which can be placed on a 3 high stack of black stained glass to look like no-face. also added a painting that says "CAFE" for the building across from the bathhouse that says CAFE, and for any other buildings that might need that sign as well.

Changed pigs to look a little more like they do in the movie, more tan/beige colored, and beady eyes.
Changed zombie's head to look like the disembodied heads in Yubaba's office.
Changed skeleton's head to look like the walkie talkie skull in Yubaba's office.

Updated for 1.6.4 : 10/15/2013 10:14:01 am10/15/13

A lot has been changed. Nether brick fence has replaced the fence in being the red railing on either sides of the bridge, so now the regular fence is wood colored again. I added textures for iron door, stone brick, some of the wool (to imitate purple silk and blue canvas), the wood door, different textures for all 4 wood planks, redstone lamp, web (to imitate steam), carved stone brick (to imitate metal).
quartz slabs are the new material for the roof of the bathhouse and they look sexy.

water is a much prettier color.

Updated for 1.0!! : 01/04/2012 2:33:39 pm1/04/12

Updated texture pack for 1.0! yup. that's all.

Nicer : 09/28/2011 8:15:55 pm9/28/11

Borrowed animated lava/water from http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/26727-johnsmith-texture-pack-v81-32x32-18-with-customizer/
changed grass, foliage color to be consistently green (no more dead grass color)
fixed the stone brick texture (used to be empty, purple)

Updated for 1.8! : 09/20/2011 10:12:17 pm9/20/11

added the new textures to be compatible with 1.8 (melons, mushrooms, vines, etc)

Brick wool?? : 09/10/2011 8:26:15 pm9/10/11

I changed all the colored wool to have brick-like textures.

Previously there was no cobblestone texture, cobblestone was assigned the wood texture. So I gave my own version of cobblestone to iron ore, and brought back mossy cobblestone, which was previously a flowery bush (the flowery bush behind Chihiro when she was eating the bun with Haku and crying). I gave the flowery bush to the sugar cane plant.

The tree trunk, gravel, and brick textures look much better.

Woah, woah, woah... That's really harsh, bro. That's actually quite mean... Try 'Hey man, I realized that this is taken from the faithful texture pack. Try to be a little more original.' Because what you said was just plain cruel. And try to use some proper grammar as well. With the harsh words and the improper grammar; this almost makes you seem barbaric.

sorry, i know. Since some of the blocks stay the same from default to spirited away, it would be pointless to make a 32x32 version of the default myself if its already been done. since no one is making money from these texture packs, it should be acceptable to borrow from other texture packs as long as I give credit, which i do in the description. however, a great deal of the blocks are my original work.

i loved that movie... except i cant remeber anything but parents being pigs and a giant baby... weird...

I adore this! Spirited Away was a huge part of my life when I was younger. Now I get to explore the world myself! Like I always wanted to.
The only flaw in this brilliance is that it seems the texture pack isn't working for anyone including myself. Do you think you would be able to fix this?

well, first make sure that you're using the HD texture pack fix. I just now tried the texture pack out, a lot of things had the wrong texture to them, namely the sides of grass blocks. so i went and updated it to fit the current version of minecraft. try it now.

Hey guys, I noticed what was wrong with the texture pack.

First, there were three files actually missing from the pack

Second, when archiving the file the containing folder was archived instead of the individual folders(mobs etc) and files, the missing files have been replaced with the standard files from the faithful32pack and has been uploaded correctly so that everyone else can use the pack correctly too.

Link below, if you do not trust it, do not use it I suppose, but until the creator fixes it themselves it's either use mine that is already done or do it yourself.

Hey I tried downloading the texture pack but for some reason the folder for it won't open. I downloaded the mcpatcher and to make sure I did that right I downloaded BorderCraft since it is also a HD texture pack. For some reason it does not seem to open the texture pack folder. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
