A star wars themed pack.

Read the update log for information about what i´ve done so far.

Additional Credits to CyberSky and doctorhibert for giving me some awsome ideas.

Extra Credits to CuberSky for making the skin i used for the Bone Armour.

Well, for a bookcase you could have a holobookcase (like in the jedi temple). For a normal book you could have a holocron, and for a sheet of paper you could have a datapad. For a spider you could use a Jedi Killer Droid (look on starwars.wikia.com).

ive been looking for a starwars themed pack which has the same blocks as the default pack but different items Eg. swards=lightsaber bow=blaster that sort of thing so i was wondering if you would keep most blocks the same, such as glowstone and cobblestone, but change some items?

Hey man know what would be cool?... (wait for it) clans! you should totally make the sith academy and the republic! Oh ya and the sith academy should be in the nether! Also it would be cool if you made a bounty hunter guild in the dessert along with the tusken raider village!!! Hope this helps

Ghasts would be better as Geonosians with their guns, or how about a recon droid? And Spider Droid is a good idea for the spider, but think about Spider Jockeys. A Stormtrooper riding a Spider Droid? Acklay is a better idea, even though it still doesn't make sense

Love it so far!

some ideas (just in case you need any)

sheep- Dewback (that big animal on Tatooine that the Imperials ride)

cows- Bantha

Chicken- Wamp rat

pig- Ewok... might not work but it's worth a shot

squid- the one snakey thing that Obi-Wan sees when they're traveling somewhere in Naboo. Episode 1

spider- Acklay (my favorite)

creeper - Darth Vader :D

slime- Jaba The Hutt

wolf (when it updates)- Nexu (the one animal that Padme has to fight in episode 2 while tied to the stone pillar)

ghast- Tie Fighter

spider jockey- (makes sense)

In response to the sheep/cow idea, I'd reverse them. As dewbacks are leathery skinned creatures, similar to cows. Whilst Bantha's are wooly, and while the scale is rather off, would be better served as sheep.

I doubt a pigwok would work too well, due to the innate differences between bipedal and quad-pedal creatures.

Darth Creeper is good in theory, but there are many creepers, and only one Vader. I would personally recommend those be droids if anything.

Still, some good idea's there.

hey i was looking at the items png file and i thougt that you could make the buckets like the mining droids' in mustafar:

Hmm, quite honestly, I think that would look a bit silly. Since AT-AT's are huge armoured transports, shrinking them down to cow size would take something away from this pack I think. As light hearted as the game is, I think an aspect of scale needs to be kept, even slightly, or else the texture pack will end up with less respect than it deserves.

Alright, just downloaded the latest update. Very nice. Even the blaster bolt drop off effect doesn't seem to bad. Seems a little funny hearing the arrow shooting sound when firing a blaster, but not much can be done about that without some audio editing, which is naturally harder than skin editing.

The sign is a bit hard to read, the brown is quite dark, and makes reading thin text, black text hard to read. I don't know how the texturing works for items other than armour and skins, but is there any possible transparency of items? (like signs), since a lot of Signs in Star Wars are holographic and can often be seen through partially. Just food for thought.

Hmm, the trouble with translating mining from Star Wars to Minecraft, is that mining in Star Wars is generally autonomous, done by droids and machines with little sentient input. My first thought would be like translating a droid/ship mining laser into a handheld device, though I'm sure that would take a whole new level of modding to work properly without looking silly...
