but when mcpatcher for 1.8 is released, this pack will start requireing mcpatcher again.

3.38 : 03/08/2014 10:29:37 am3/08/14

shader tweaks:

blur uses 20 texture reads per pixel down from 28 in version 3.37

also removed 1 render pass and 1 buffer

FPS is expected to improve noticeably, especially if you have a high resolution monitor and a shit graphics card.

If minecraft ever allows mipmaps and linear sampling in shaders, I could do 16 texture reads on a 4x smaller area and upsample that, making the texture reads per pixel just 4!

  • torchlight lightmap (follows the inverse square law better http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverse-square_law )
  • stained glass (ctm and glass pane lighting fix coming soon)
  • stone slab pillars

3.37 : 03/01/2014 11:05:12 am3/01/14

  • punctuation in font
  • emerald ore
  • sky color

change in shaders:

bloom is more accurate/realistic, code is much simpler and less hacky.

uses different blurring method that is much more scalable, it makes huge blur radiuses very very efficient.
if minecraft ever allows for mipmaps in shaders, it could be 2x faster
if minecraft ever allows for linear sampling in shaders, it could be another 2x faster

where I got the idea:
http://forum.starling-framework.org/topic/code-much-faster-gaussian-blur-implementation

3.36 : 02/22/2014 8:14:47 am2/22/14

Ive been busy with the new 1.8 models and real life stuff, so I haven’t had much time to work on willpack. Here’s an update anyway.

It's a minecraft bug, I could try to work around it, but it would be complicated and possibly affect performance.

I think I just found my favorite normal'ish themed texture pack! : D It's beautiful! <3 The ONLY problem I'm having is that the tree leaves are black inbetween the actual leaves. I'm assuming they're supposed to be clear inbetween. Is there any way I can fix this?  I give in 699 epic cats out of 700! : )

It's custom terrain, the seed doesnt matter. I would recommend that you try mcedit and worldpainter to make some nice terrain for your builds.

P.S. Thanks!

Hi! So I upgraded to the 1.8 download and now the pretty clouds are gone. It's just a plain blue sky. Is there something I can do to fix this?

This is my favorite texture pack of the dozens I've tried, great work so far. It's the only one I play on single player these days. Nothing else quite holds a torch to it!

the clouds are a feature of mcpatcher, right now, mcpatcher hasn't been updated to minecraft 1.8, when mcpatcher for 1.8 is available, install it, and the clouds will be back, along with the custom lighting and all the other textures that require mcpatcher

and thanks

Very good texturePack. It works very good until 1.8. Now (with the 1.8 update) I start Minecraft and suddenly the trees/leaves are buggy (so black shadows and so on..), looks very strange. try to fix it with mcpatcher, but it doesn't change anything. any idea?

it's supposed to be slightly blue (very subtle) like glass in real life.
if it's very opaque though, it's not normal, could you possibly send me screenshots so I can check?

William, When I use this textue pack on servers, It takes out parts of chat. Is this a glitch with mcpatcher or willpack?

When people type, or when the server gives a notice, it partially deletes some of the typing and notices.

I reported this before, and you said it had nothing to do with your texture pack. Nice to see I'm not the only one having the glitch~
