EXPANSIVE FANTASY SURVIVAL:
Map Summary:
This is a 15k x 15k fantasy themed Minecraft map. Featuring hundreds of biomes, default and custom Minecraft structures, wide variety of terrain and landscapes. There is potential for a wide variety of applications and uses for this map. Compatible with Minecraft instillation 1.20.1+
This map is ideal for survival gameplay, with resources, caverns, chasms, and a grounded fantastical take on exploration. Rivers and oceans run for large lengths, making travel by boat a viable option. Narrow canyons with pathways at their floors guide players to different sections of the map. Towering volcanic mountains, deep mesa canyons, dense jungles and mysterious structures grand and small litter this world. There is always something new to explore and see along your travels.
This map can be used for your server, creative survival, or whatever floats your boat. This map can be experienced solo, but given the massive scale of the map, charting it all on your lonesome is a very large task. Use this map for anything you please, no strings attached.
Map Logistics:
This map is bordered by the void, with a few floating a islands. Past the void is a bedrock wall. Past the wall, default Minecraft chunks will generate. There is almost every Minecraft biome present, as well as strongholds, mineshafts, woodland mansions, jungle temples, shipwrecks, and a variety of immersive custom structures to discover and explore.
The map file is available to download for free via media fire. (File size being around 10gb, makes it too big for a Planet Minecraft download).
Yes, this is a very very big map.
Built for Minecraft Java edition and Compatible with Minecraft instillation 1.20.1+
Note: Some structures will have chests, sometimes populated with loot, sometimes not.
Map Development:
This map was made solely by me, on and off for the past two and a half years. Originally tailor made for a paying customer, after our arrangement fell through I took it upon myself to finish the project and make it accessible for all for free instead.
Expansive Fantasy Survival was built in world painter, with many custom brushes, structures, and iteration. About half of the custom structures are schematics I made personally, and I made a variety of custom trees as well. Once landscaping was complete, I used world edit to tweak a few things, and add a few more structures by hand throughout the map.
I have been making Minecraft maps like this for around ten years now, and this map is the culmination of all my world painter, building, map making knowledge, and game design principles, and all tied together with a cohesive theme. I genuinely hope you enjoy!
