Two years ago, the Russian Federation launched a military invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

This diorama shows an armored column on the way to Kyiv more than a week later on March 7, 2022.


Russia had planned to take Kyiv in 3 days, however due to fuel & food shortages, muddy terrain, bad planning and disorganization, and Ukrainian attacks with Bayraktar drones and ambushes, the 40 mile long convoy stalled 8 days into the war and made little progress.
