[REQUIRES OPTIFINE]
This is a Quality of Life texture pack that adds CTM Overlays so Andesite, Diorite, Endstone, Granite and all Terracotta blocks (not glazed) so ores will look better next to different types of natural-ish.
Also turn off "Natural Textures" in the Optifine settings since this can mess up the overlays

3 Update Logs
Slight Rollback : by _JJ_ 12/23/2020 4:19:24 amDec 23rd, 2020
After taking some feedback, I have decided to remove Bedrock, Coarse DIrt and Dirt as they didn't fit in as well with the others and that Bedrock was unbreakable. I gladly would like your feedback on these updates since they help me to make things better for you.

1. either add Netherrack, Blackstone and Basalt or remove End Stone (for dimensional equality)
2. add Sandstone, Red Sandstone and Tuff ores, and maybe Calcite and Smooth Basalt (maybe it would share a texture with Basalt)
3. add Copper ores
4. update the pack to 1.17 (required for most of this)
and 5. there should be a version of this (as a separate download) that only includes sandstone, red sandstone, tuff, andesite, diorite, and granite ores, maybe with terracotta. This would make the pack feel a lot more like Minecraft, and I would have just left it at that, however I am not about to ask you to undo all your work on the other variations (end stone and maybe terracotta).
Other than that, it's a great pack that I would recommend using, nobody else seems to have made it so thank you for being the person that did.
JJ I have an idea. Bedrock CTM could still be possible, if it were a slightly darker stone. Something that looks like it's between bedrock and stone, but can still indicate it is a breakable.
Dirt and coarse dirt is still possible if you can find a way to make dirt look like stone, without looking like you took stone, made it orange, then darkened it. If you can figure out how to make a "Dirt stone" look — i-e- hardened mud — the dirt textures would work because it would look different and distinct from loose dirt, but stil give the impression the ore was next to dirt.
So it may require some artistic liberty, but you can re-implement those textures if only they appear like they cannot be shoveled.
I mean — I guess people installing this mod could figure it can be broken and if they don't like it, to omit bedrock themselves but I feel like that would lead to confusion by people who do not install this mod themselves.
Keep at it. It's a solid idea that needs more work.
