Introduction:

I am sure you are all aware of tekkit, technic, feed the beast, and all these mod packs filled with machinery. Although, i find it there are not enough Adventure themed mod packs. So i make my own for my own fun. Here are some of my personal favorties:

10) Mo's Creatures:

Mo's Creatures is a very extensive mod that I find really fun to add to your adventure. This mod adds tons of new creatures which add a nice atmosphere to the game. I do believe that the amount of mobs in normal minecraft are a bit dull, and this is a great solution. With the addition of a new dimension, this mod shows its true potential and leaves followers in anticipation of what will come next! One addition I personally like, is the ability to control spawn rates, the spawn rates can be lowered or highered to your standards.

9) Better World Generation 4:

I do believe that this is one mod that I cannot play without. What this mod does, is that it changes the vanilla world generation, into the many options it has. New biomes, new colors, and even old generations like Alpha, Indev, and Beta are included. The beauty of this is that it generates any old world unexplored chunks into the new biomes, without having annoying chunk errors. It adds no blocks or items, and the worlds can be played even when this mod is removed, however, new chunks will not be generated from the new biomes according to this mod.

8) Ruins:

Personally, I find exploring abanded mineshafts, and strongholds a thrill. The goodies in the chests, the mobs, and all the mazes, is what makes them so fascinating to me. This mod adds a few new ruins that will generate around your world. Chests are also included in the ruins that spawn. This mod also adds a great atmosphere that encourages you to explore your own world more. They will only spawn in newly generated chunks, so don't go looking for them in your old survival world around your spawn!

7) Infernal Mobs:

The amount of mobs that spawn with armor or enchanted tools, does not seem enough to me. There are quite a few hostile mobs in Vanilla, but don't you get bored always fighting the SAME zombie? What this mob does, is it adds boss mobs for each mob that spawn randomly. These mobs might seem a bit overpowered at first, so it is not recommended to engage them in early combat. Wait until you have some iron armor, and you may hit them as you please. They each have different abilities such as being able to set you abaze, poison etc. The reward for killing them is quite a bit of experience and some enchanted loot!

6) Aquaculture:

Lets be honest, who ACTUALLY fishes in minecraft? *chirp chirp* Thought so. This mod is one which expands the amount of fish and materials you can catch. There are lots of different fish but thats not what makes this mod special. Some fish spawn according to a specific biome. How cool is that!? So if you are traveling in a tundra biome, you will find different fish than a freshwater lake in a forest. To me, that is one of the best features. Also, if you add a mod like Better World Generation, the new biomes will all be labeled as freshwater fish areas. Of course, there will be more fish added and more regions such as the jungle and I cannot wait to see more fish added into this mod because of its potential.

5) Millenaire-NPC Villages:

You simply cannot have an adventure without this mod. This mod adds new civilizations each with their own unique villages, buildings, culture, NPCs, quests, blocks, items, and more! You can interact with the NPCs and they give you quests, and even some jobs. War can be raged upon villages depending on their diplomatic stance. Lone buildings also do generate with this mod. The NPCs also trade with you for items. If you earn enough of their coins, you may buy items and land plots within the village. I can sit here all day explaining this mod and its features, so why dont you check it out yourself?

4) Archimedes' Ships:

I have one question: How does the boat in minecraft even WORK? THAT THING JUST FLIES THROUGH THE WATER. ITS A WOODEN TUB! But hey, its minecraft, anything is possible. So what this mod does is it adds a few new blocks that allow you to create boats. The boats can be steered with this specific block and float on water. Careful, some materials do not float, but there is a block that allows heavy materials like stone to float. This mod is great for sea exploration and all you crazy ship builders. The max amount of blocks you can make your boat is 1024, but this is configurable in the .config file. Overall, a fantastic mod.

3) The Craftory Mods:

For some reason, farming seems fun to me in minecraft. If this is the case for you, this is the mod to choose. It adds a bunch of new crops and even fruit trees. There are recipes which you can combine all the little nice fruits and veggies you have planted yourself. A few cooking items are added such as the blender to make fruit juices. Overall, this mod is a great way to expand your farms.

2) Minefantasy:

I highly recommended you play this mod without any others. One of the big reason is, the huge game changing mechanics. New mechanics such as ore tiers, tanning, and furnaces are added witht his mod. It may seem very confusing at first, but make sure to read the OP. This mod basically makes your minecraft more realistic and adds more of a midieval aspect that i do enjoy. If you find no compatibility errors with other mods, add as many as you please!

1) The Twilight Forest:

This mod adds a whole new dimension of fun (pun maybe?). The Twilight Forest has a new dimension in which you can take your time to explore to find mazes. The mazes inside have exciting loot to find, and new weapons and items inside them. New types of mods guard the mazes, so be sure to stay alamarmed. The outside atmosphere of the Twilight Forest is also very fascinating. It usually is dark and has some interesting plants. I do recommend this mod once the overworld isn't enough!

This is my first review so please leave some feedback and tell me what you think! :D

Well, orespawn isnt as much an "adventure mod" as it is a complete overhaul of minecraft, and personally, I hate how overpowered you can get in orespawn, and very fast too.

IMO orespawn does make you very overpowered but there is so much to do with your “overpowerness” in the mod that it doesn’t necessarily get super boring. Just an opinion, not trying to shit on anyone.
