I've played a lot of adventure maps, I've seen a lot of map's playthrough and I have made few maps and a lot of redstone videos, so I know very well what can help creating a good map.
I've gathered my thoughts and I've collected 10 useful command blocks contraptions that can help you making a better map. This video is also a way to show you things I've created but I thought weren't worth an entire video for each of them, so be sure you will find something new.

Improvement of the 8th idea: you can use armor stands; for some reason, it works only if the id of the item is written completely with the "minecraft:", like: "minecraft:snow_layer". So, you can use freely armor stands in the same way as the item frames, you only need to remember to use "minecraft:"
