Hey guys, I thought I would make a review about 12w34a! So, here we go! Let's start with dying leather armor! So what you do is put a piece of armor in a crafting slot, then you put any dye in another crafting slot, then voila, you have dyed armor! This can help in Capture The Flag, so you don't have gold vs iron armor anymore. Next, there is going to be different crops! The two new crops are carrots and potatoes. OM NOM NOM NOM! Now, dog collars can be dyed. All you do is right click a dog collar with a dye and it makes the collar look that color. This next part is my favorite feature: item frames! Wat you do is right click on the wall with an item frame, then right click an item onto the item frame to put that item in the frame! You can even put frames inside of frames: frameception! Anyways, now, mobs can enter nether portals! They enter just like the player. Now I can make that cow torture trap in the nether... Now, I'll cover cobblestone and mossy cobblestone walls! They act just like fences, but are made of cobblestone or mossy cobblestone. On to the next thing, stairs can auto corner themselves! What that means is that if you have a stair in a corner, then put stairs on each side, it makes a corner stair! Now, Mojang said that they MIGHT keep mthe corner stairs, but we aren't. They are doing tests with the cornering of the stairs, though. Another cool item, the flower pot! You place the flower pot on the ground, and you right click the pot with any plant in your hand, and it automatically plants it! Now, you don't have to make a pot by doing the old dirt and trapdoor trick! For now, and maybe forever, the WIP(Work In Progress) block has been removed from the creative menu. I think you can still obtain them using the /give command, though. I think this next thing is cool, wooden buttons have been added! They act just like stone buttons, but are arrow sensitive. Now, trapdoors can be placed in the top most position on a block, depending on the crosshair position. Now, this next part is VERY interesting. There is a new mob, the Wither. It has a black/grey head(s), and has 3 heads. It shoots miniheads on the two heads on the side of its body, and only shoots peaceful mobs, not aggresive. More news on the Wither, when you spawn it with MCEdit, it shows the boss health. Does that mean a boss in the overworld, a boss in the nether, or a whole new dimension? Maybe it's even just a bug! We'll have to wait and see!



Since I'm writing this blog after 12w34b was released, I will add what was tweaked in 12w34b right now. First, the hidden feature was tweaked. Next, the armor gfx was fixed. The last three, wooden buttons recipes were changed, nether portal fixes that were minor, and item frame crashes were fixed! well, that's the end of this review, I hope I see you next time and I hope you liked this!
