Hey all,
The 1.4.2 update, added some amazing blocks. This post will be about the itemframes only. The new itemframes can be used in so many ways, for adding much more detail into your interiors.
First of all they can be used as a painting, arrow, clock, compass or map. I bet you all knew that already but i came up with something new.
The itemframes can be placed on a block simultaniously with the following blocks,
a (redstone)torch,
vines,
paintings,
a sign
a lever,
both buttons
and the tripwire hook
The cool thing about this is that you can get a lot of detail on a single block, by putting something in the itemframe.
As you can see in the second picture i used stone in the frames. This was just to show you guys that it is possible, but there are a lot better combo's you can make.
On the speakers I used them for the subwoofers. I used the same concept for the tv button on the side.
I used the frames with the signs, to make a nice cabinet, You make these by first placing the sign on the block, then you put the itemframe behind it and fill it up with an anvil. Turn the anvil upsidedown and it looks like a handle.
The lamps are made out of the new beacon blocks, which actually give light. You need WE thought to make them as I did, because the frames can't be placed on a beacon block.
In the kitchen i used this new concept for the cabinets, the fridge, the chairs and a new tap above the sink.
I hope i helped you guys a little bit with making cool interiors in Minecraft. If you found it usefull, make sure to subscribe and leave a comment. And let me know if you want me to make more of these posts.
