Hey guys! Today I'm going to tell you how to make your builds amazing. Let's start!
Tip 1: Try to use blocks with interesting textures, and try to stay away from stone, unless you're using a resource pack that makes stone look better. I like to use cobblestone and netherrack together since they have the same pattern design.
Tip 2: Try to go for a theme. Usually, the two main themes are wood, and stone. Soul sand and sand are nice because they go with both themes. Sometimes, builds look really awesome if you have one theme for the floor, and another for the roof and walls.
Tip 3: Use stairs and slabs! Use it in floors, pillars, walls, everything! Stairs and slabs really add an extra aspect to your builds, and enhance other players' experience when viewing your build.
Tip 4: If you are doing the wood theme, use different types of wood! It's the same thing as the cobblestone and netherrack together, same texture, different coloring. And remember to use wood, (log king) too!
Tip 5: When doing windows, do not make a square or rectangle shape, unless you really need to! More interesting shapes catch the eye. Use stained glass, too!
Tip 6: Lighting, lighting, lighting!!! A build can be amazing except the viewer can't see anything! Torches, and glowstone are going to be your main lighting source. I rarely use redstone lamps. I like to use chandeliers, and torches on top of fence posts, attatched to walls.
Tip 7: Unless you're making some firey nether palace of shadow, even a little bit of nature can make most builds look that much better. Even if you're making dungeons, use moss in the cells. Herobrine's mansion: Make a creepy courtyard. Abandonned factory: Make some overgrown shrubbery around the perimeter.
Tip 8: Making an old build, or an attic in a house? Use cobwebs! They help symbolize that an area is old, very big or not cleaned often, which adds character to your build.
Tip 9: Fountains! Whether it's lava or water, fountains always make builds look nice, even if it's a little one.
Well, thanks for reading, and I hope this helped! Remember to diamond, if you liked this, too!
