Let's just say: curmbling in every sense of the word.
As a side note: I've grown tired of some many of the people on PMC, and the only thing keeping me here is my server post.
Yes, this a rant blog. If you don't want to read it, DON'T.Users: The good, the bad, and the ugly.
The good: Sure, theres quite a few nice people out there who contribute more than most of us would even have the paitience to. I'm not saying that only people level 50 are the awesome people. There's a few really good map makers out there, as well as mod builders
The bad:
I've come across quite a few people who have their mind set on the theme that 'If you want a good computer, build it youself. Otherwise it's crap.' 1. you're wrong. There are many reliable prebuilts out there. 2. Custom is not always the way to go. Some parts my have defects that take some time to set in. I remember when my graphics card's fan's ball bearings had begun to spin in their casing, which created a ton of heat and noise. But the thermal sensor wasn't picking up the heat. The noise sure was annoying, though. It looked fine when I bought it, and it performed beyond expectations.
^Not the ONLY thing wrong with the PMC community, but you get the point.
I'd also stick a moderator or two in here, but to be honest, they aren't really that bad.
The ugly:
It's an analogy, not hating on a particular person here.
We all know one. The person who goes around flaming on topics he doesn't agree on. And I don't mean every once in a while. This guy has NO submissions, no subscribers, and PMC just flat out hates him.
These aren't the worst, (Technically they are, but still) just because they're banned from the forums most of the time.
Server list; needs cleaned out.
The thing I hate the absolute most is prison and faction servers flooding the PMC server list. And I mean FLOOD it. For every Vanilla server, there's ~50 faction servers. PMC should add an optional user-specific blacklist for keywords in server posts. It would help us find the servers we would like to visitand hide the ones that we wouldn't.
Disclaimer: I am not hating on Level one people who post a lot in the forums, just those in general who flame.
