Alright, I am one or two months late, but I still would like to share my opinion on this.
SPOILER ALERT
Starting from the start, we see that a bunch of misfits and dummies arrive to a new town, and Henry begins doing unrealistic crap and then the so-called Garbage Man finds the orb of dominance inside a box.
So, let's break down the movie cast
1. Steve. The experienced "crafter" who had yearned for the mines since he was a child, cast by Jack Black, and finds the orb of dominance while mining, as he opens a portal and meets
2. Malgosha, the villain. Very generic, dumb backstory, and genuinely a renamed Seer.
3. henry, natalie, and others, the generic misfits who somehow enter the Overworld. Henry does crazy stuff with nothing which shouldn't be allowed because it breaks the plot, Natalie literally melts zombies with a hoe, and the other ones are kinda useless.
Now let's get into the plot
"
Four misfits – Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Jason Momoa), Henry (Sebastian Hansen), Natalie (Emma Myers) and Dawn (Danielle Brooks) – find themselves struggling with ordinary problems when they are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: the bizarre, blocky wonderland that we know and mine extensively love. To get back home, they’ll have to master this world (and protect it from evil things like piglins and zombies, too) while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected, expert crafter, Steve (Jack Black). Together, their adventure will challenge all five to be bold and to reconnect with the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative…the very skills they need to thrive back in the real world.

Sounds like corporate crap. And it is.
Anyway, now that most stuff is clearly explained, I would like to mention the merch.
Happy meals, adidas partnership, doritos partnership, and more merch is crazy. Like, it is the 2nd highest-grossing movie just because Microsoft used the world's biggest franchise
My rating? 3/10
Nice movie but trash plot and intention
