A man sat alone in a dark void-like room. He couldn't make out any of his surroundings; in fact, he couldn't even feel anything around him. "Perhaps, nothing is around....I must be dead." The man sat cross-legged (which was also a strange thing to do, considering he could feel nothing around him). "Well, if I'm dead. Why can I talk and what do I do now?" He muttered to himself. He sat there for what seemed like an eternity and still, nothing happened. "Well if nothing is going to happen I might as well take a look around...if there is anything."
Images kept appearing and reappearing before his eyes. They felt like memories, and they seemed strangely familiar. He recognized them, but for some reason he couldn't place the faces or places. When he saw them, he felt a terrifying sadness and a sort of deep pain in his chest. It was like someone ripped out his heart with a rusty knife. He knew they were important to him, and the man tried to remember them, but he just couldn't.
There was one advantage to all this. He could walk where ever he liked and feel as if he was flying. The man walked for so long he became tired (another strange addition to this odd worldly paradox). Then just when he had sat down, a voice whispered in his ear. The man jumped, "Who's there!?"
It spoke again quickly, "Steve, listen to me! You are about to enter a new world. The terrain is waiting for you. Prepare yourself!" Then he remembered everything.
Steve was his name. His family was dead; almost everyone was. Now he felt the pain and knew exactly why. The Great War for Minecraftia destroyed every person on the planet who chose to lift a sword or bow. Steve tried to cry out, but he could not even open his mouth.
The technology so many civilizations acquired was terrifying and eventually they united as one, The Organization, they were recognized as. They had the ability to create terrifying monsters or peaceful, helpful creatures (should they choose one or the other). Soon their minds were crippled with greed and power. Instead of choosing to help those in need, they destroyed those who couldn't defend themselves and anyone who got in their way. Some tried to fight back, but no stone can tear down a brick wall. Well, except one stone.
Their name was Rebelles, and they had had enough tyranny. They were an elite team of soldiers. For weeks the team spied on The Organization. They gathered enough information on The Organization to realize it needed a source of power in order to create chaos. Eventually, a brave spy was able to sneak into The Organization's ranks and finally found a hope for peace, but it was at a great cost. The spy was discovered and barely escaped with their life...and a map of the headquarters.
It was time for the people to strike back at the persecutors. Rebelles attacked The Organization and fought their way into the center of their headquarters (The poor people who were left waited in their bunkers around the world, often listening to the reports on the radio--some cheering softly, others just listening in wondrous disbelief.). It looked like the good underdogs would save the day. But the day was not done and neither were the fierce captains of The Organization. They knew they were soon going to be overcome if they didn't do something.
They chose one pitiful soul to go down into the room and the "dungeons", which is where they created their creatures of mayhem (and kept spoils of war). They had numerous dungeons, but one was greater than the others. If it were to be completely destroyed all others would be obliterated and the bases The Organization set up all around the world would completely demolish every living human within a massive radius along with themselves. At least, they assumed it would destroy the other dungeons. They knew it would destroy the other bases; it was their failsafe.
Rebelles cleared a path through the massive army guarding the headquarters and approached the final obstacle. A huge door made of cold iron blocked their way. Time was running thin. The dungeon was being destroyed as the team got out pickaxes and ripped shreds from the door. It was difficult, but they finally tore down the door and grabbed the nearest captain. Strangely enough, none of them fought back. They just sat in their chairs and smiled cruelly. The team tried to interrogate them, but they knew it was useless. People as insane as these wouldn't give away any secrets.
They searched the room, checking every side room and anything that might lead to the obscure power center. They looked at the map they brought and saw the room was supposed to be located in the front of the captains' chambers. All the squad could see was a crude painting hanging loosely on the wall. Then it hit them: the oldest trick in the book; they all simultaneously gasped and ran to it, ripped it from the wall, and uncovered a dimly lit tunnel.
That's when the captains got up as one and made terrifying war cries. Now, the team had found the master dungeon and they needed to protect it (At least, until it could be properly disabled.). All but one member of the squad stayed behind and held them back as long as they could. The leader of the team, Noah, sprinted down the tunnel unknowing of what lay ahead. Soon, he found the dungeon and the guy who was destroying it. He shouted at the man to stop, but he ignored the leader and there was only one block left to destroy before all was lost. Noah raced across the room and launched himself at the man, prepared to tackle him.
Just before he grabbed the coward, a gigantic spider popped out of the spooky cage-like block nearby and bit the leader's arm. He screamed in pain and stabbed at the beast. It dodged the blade and bit at him again, but he slashed upward and the creature lay on the ground, still and cold. The leader was angry now, and turned towards the opposing man. He immediately reached down and grabbed the furiously working man.He lifted him up, but he was too late. The coward smiled and pointed down at the last block.
His pickaxe fell when he was pulled up and landed on the tender block, battered by the previous hits. It had crumbled into  gray dust. Noah threw the guy away from him and sprinted back to his team. When they saw him they cheered and shouted, but when they saw his face they knew precisely what had happened. They had defeated the captains, but lost the war. No one wept, they just waited. They said their good byes and simply stood in each other's presence. With a flash, all on the surface of Minecraftia was gone. All pain was gone. No more terror. No more tyranny. They felt no pain. Oddly enough, for a moment all the members of Rebelles felt a strange peace in their hearts and then nothing more.
But the people hidden away in the few lengthy stone bunkers knew precisely what had happened, hearing the noise of the mighty massacre and fled to the surface in their brown rags, barely able to make a noise.

A flash of light blinded him and before he could react Steve was tossed onto solid ground.
