it was early in the morning as i ran downstairs to show mom my drawing. "mom! mom!" i said excitedly, rushing to show her the picture. "look!" she looked at the paper and scoffed, taking it from me and tossing it on the table carelessly. my younger brother came downstairs shortly after-well he was only a few minutes younger as we're twins- and as always mom picked him up and kissed his forehead, Levi had always been the favorite, i knew this even at the young age of five. i gasped quietly, remembering it was our birthday soon. tail wagging, i ran to my older brother Nick's room, shaking him from his sleep. he groaned and looked at me. smirking, he grabbed his blanket and covered his head with it. "nooooo!" i said making a pouty face. i reached under the blanket grabbing his hand, i tugged on it a few times. one of the maids walked in. looking a bit mad she grabbed my hand and dragged me towards the door "your brother is sleeping!" she scolded. tears filling my eyes i said "but i want to play with him". suddenly awaken by the conversation nick got out of bed and looked at me, emerald green eyes still fighting sleep, he teleported over-as he was a year older, Nick had gotten his ability to teleport already- and grabbed my hand. "its okay" he said cheerily. "i like playing!" teleporting us to the kitchen he grabbed a cookie and split it in half handing me one piece and keeping the other for himself. we made our way to the dinning room where mom and dad looked worried. looking at me and my two brothers mom said "do you three wanna go on an adventure?" excited by the idea of leaving the house, we all agreed.

little did i know, that "adventure" would throw me into a world i had never even been told about.
