People often post rants when they feel they need to share with the world their strong feelings of negativity, which is why have decided to post a rant about rants and why rants what's wrong with them.

I see rants all the time here on Planet Minecraft. People generally address things that they think should stop, something that they don't like, or something they think people shouldn't do. For example, you'll probably find multiple posts about there being too many simple skins or too many Herobrine/Assassin/Slenderman/Teenager skins or Steve skins with minor changes of color or whatever. These posts are completely pointless and unnecessary. There are probably people who are maybe really lazy and want to go download a Steve with blond hair and a red shirt. And the person who uploaded it probably doesn't think it's that bad, and are just having some good fun by editing a skin and uploading it or creating their own poor-quality skin.

There are rants about changes to minecraft or about how there are too many servers of a certain type, like factions or Hunger Games servers. But the fact is that, just because YOU don't like them, doesn't mean that there aren't other people who do. And just because YOU think that there should be anymore factions servers or Minecraft updates, it doesn't mean that everyone else will share your opinion of it.

What I'm saying is that there will always be people who like the things that you hate. And if there are, then the things you hate won't just go away after you write a rant. Take this one, for example. After you read this, you might still go on to write a rant even though they're completely pointless and useless to both the reader and the writer.

And there are SO MANY RANTS! All rants are is a collection of anger, frustration and negativity about something that you shouldn't really be upset about. Why do you care if there are a bunch of factions servers? You don't like it, go find a different server, I'm sure there are still plenty that don't use it. Don't like alternative Steve skins? Don't use them.

Nothing about rants is helpful or productive in any way.
