GameGlass is a new and revolutionary piece of gaming hardware. It is an AR headset, AR meaning augmented reality. Unlike headsets like the Oculus Rift which creates a whole new VR environment, the GameGlass incorperates your games and the GameGlass UI into real life. So far, it is only a concept, an idea. Soon, I plan to design a prototype and to see of it works.

What black magic is this?!

GameGlass doesn't actually process and 'play' the games - your PC will. GameGlass uses similar streaming technology found in the NVidia Shield, and the only downside to this is the PC requirement of an NVidia GTX 660 or higher. This does mean that, with a good connection, you can play full PC games in AR with no or barely noticeable latency. And how does the AR work? your visor, the plexiglass or other material used, will reflect images from a TFT screen in the top of the headset. The reflected image can be seen on the visor and you can see through the visor too. The screen can be turned off whilst the rest of the device is still running, so you can continute to wear the headset without having your viewing obscured in any way.

Mind posting some well blueprints on how the headrest and screen
placement is setup? i might be able to prototype and help you improve
your current design?
Yeah, I'll have to agree with the others who have said that a patent is in order here. A Kickstarter would probably be the best way of making money both for development and for fees such as patenting.

Make sure you do some research beforehand, however, to check what might already be patented including concept, and even trademarked names. I would support this in a heartbeat.
Patents aren't cheap, but I have heard you guys!
Yeah, I know. From what I understand, unless you're part of a larger company it's a hassle.

Just when/if you do crowdfunding, include money for patenting, copywriting, and/or trademarking in the budget, and look out for anything that could lead to a lawsuit.
Wow, this is truly amazing! You have to put this on sale when it is fully developed!!

kk m8 let me get my "legit" credit card
I highly recommend patenting this idea. If someone who has money (as in a lot of money) sees this and they're smart they will steal the idea in a second.

tbh the sketch of it looks extremely uncomfortable to wear and why is the glass tinted to the front?
The prototype will use an elastic fabric like on skiing goggles to hold it in place. It is at a 45 degree angle so the holographic effect can work fully.

You deserve way more credit for this.  It is an amazing idea and if you could pull it off, which, with the information on the forum page, is pretty likely, you could revolutionize gaming.  Sir, you are awesome.
Oh, stop it you!
