This short story tells the tale of Dr. Trang, from her past exploits to being Cassandra's personal healer after the events of Amelia Civil War.

And Dr. Trang is an example. She was born with a natural affinity to Ascelpius, the god of medicine. Her parents then sent to her to learn traditional medicine under the tutelage of the former Nature Guardian.
To his surprise, Trang did not flinch before the vast knowledge itself, while even the wisest in Testare had difficulty. Even Arkouda, who was soon to be the next Nature Guardian, actually acknowledge her perseverance.
Within a few decades, Trang completed her apprenticeship. The Nature Guardian's time was past, and he passed anything he could offer to her, and the title to the wolf.

Her most prominent career as a healer happened with an incident.

The resurrection of the Cult of the Artificial Sun saw the State of Amelia in its zenith. However, it does not change one fact: Death itself. They were still suffering, as the opium still deteriorate their health constantly. Something has to be done.
Dr. Trang decided to open an infirmary on her own, without any outside help. This would prove to be tedious though, as not much of the population has innate potential in magic, and only few of them actually know anything about healing.
At one time, Cassandra was also battered from activating the Sun and thus sent to her infirmary on behalf of Queen Amelia. This act perhaps did have some good from it, as Dr. Trang recognized him from the National Convention before. For once, she held his hand, hoping to do anything she can do.
That day, her total dedication to helping Cassandra finally paid itself, though it wasn't without some inconvenience. Cassandra tried to hold her hand as his own gratitude, but she didn't feel obliged to respond.
She left to her own quarters, leaving him to ponder about himself...

However, it was already decreed that they'll meet each other for another time.

Amelia Civil War is close to the end. Without their leaders, both the Liberators and the puppet government stood no chance against the advancing army of a Testare dictator. The dissidents of the Empire have formed a temporary truce with them, hoping to coordinate a counterattack before it's too late..
Meanwhile, Kanrine secretly rearranged an agreement to bring Cassandra to the palace, who was now slowly dying to the huge lacerations and blood poisoning. He was to pay the price for dispatching Emily and Vlad Ruslando with no support.
Dr. Trang was again appointed as his personal healer. Having avoided him once, she was reluctant to face him again. Nevertheless, as she still had to follow the Oath of Hippocrates, saving Cassandra's life must supersede all differences, for now...
Using her herbal stockpile back in the Opium Forest, she managed to keep Cassandra's wounds at bay. Then, with Parla Jade's permission to use one of the Crystal Roses, the solution was created.
With the care of Parla Jade and the dedication of Dr. Trang, the recent few weeks saw Cassandra's miraculous recovery. Death has decided to spare him, and the populace perceived it as a miracle of hope.

That day, the Republic of Amelia is reinstated, and Dr. Trang has proved herself a national example of the qualities the people sought for. A truly inspiring hope indeed.
