I think these aspects should be added to Minecraft! +Updated

1. Leather armor is the lightest and diamond armor is the heaviest. In leather armor, you move at a normal speed, but in diamond, you would move about 25% slower. Leather armor is the most silent, while diamond armor is the loudest, making sort of a light anvil sound effect while player is in motion. This would only have an effect on other players. In leather armor, you can jump a normal distance, and if you were in diamond armor, you could only leap about two blocks while running. Additionally, leather armor is less noticeable by mobs, and metal armor such as diamond armor is very noticeable by mobs. This would apply to any player who wears a single garment of one type of the armor. If armor types are at all mixed, say you have some swaggin' golden leggings and a leather cap, then noticeability automatically becomes average.

With the leather armor buff, higher metal armors like diamond armor would supply more protection.

2. A new type of armor: Mage's Attire. They would be made out of any kind of wool, but come out in one color, in the formation of any other garment in the crafting menu. Top to bottom would be named something like Mage's Hood, Mage's Robes, Mage's Trousers, and Mage's Boots. They would be extremely noticeable by mobs, be silent to players, have leather level speed, and about half leather protection. While wearing, potions and splash potions are more effective. Just as any armor, they may be enchanted. There would be a few custom enchantments to the armor, like increased splash potion distance, potions are more effective, etc.

3. Different arrows, like an iron, diamond, and flammable arrow. Simply made by replacing the flint with iron, diamond, or flint and steel in the crafting recipe. Plugging in any of these may give you 4 arrows. Iron may do +1 hearts of damage, diamond may do +2, and flint and steel would completely ignite a block, or set a player on fire. This effect would be disabled in the case of faction territory. A player couldn't set your structures aflame with a flammable arrow while it is claimed.

Lastly, a special arrow: Some sort of Piercing Arrow. The recipe would only give you one arrow. The arrow would essentially de-spawn up to 5 blocks in it's path, or until it hits a tough block. For instance, it may break through wooden planks, leaves, and glass, but would not pierce through stone, bricks, or cobblestone. If the arrow is retrieved, it's effects would be lost, giving you a normal arrow.

With all these arrow enhancements, swords would have to do more damage, or something would have to be altered to the two forms of combat are relatively even.

Here's a scenario:
Purple Faction doesn't like Yellow Faction. Purple sends a Thief with the support of a Mage to capture Yellow's diamonds. The Thief slips by the mobs of the night in her leather attire as the Mage keeps watch atop a tree next to a bridge of wooden planks that rests over a small ravine. When the Thief creeps inside, she is able to remain unheard by the Tank and Archer inside. She loots the diamonds just before the Tank in diamond armor notices her! Fortunately, she outruns the Tank who is slightly slower than her.

As the Thief bursts out of the base, the Mage and the Archer, who is in leather armor, are both aware of her location. The Archer franticly knocks and fires an iron arrow, hitting the thief with increased damage. The Mage sees this, and skillfully tosses a splash potion of healing over the trees with increased distance from an enchantment on his Mage's Attire. Meanwhile, the Tank is swarmed by the mobs who emerge from the dark trees. He is able to fend them off with the protection of his diamond armor, but his health is dangerously low. The Mage tosses a splash potion of poison over the trees and the effect is enough to kill the tank.

The Archer knocks a flammable arrow as she charges out of the base, targeting the Mage's tree. The shot is fired, and the leaves are set ablaze, burning the Mage who has little protection from his attire. The Thief's speed is evenly matched with the Archer's, and the chase begins through the forest.

The two reach the bridge beside the burning tree as mobs are starting to collect around them. The Archer has one opportunity to eliminate the Thief, and with full health, even a diamond arrow couldn't suffice. The Archer knocks a Piercing Arrow and it sails though the narrow bridge, leaving a noticeable gap for the Thief. She takes a leap, and she is not dragged down by her light armor. She lands on the other side of the ravine, and the Archer has little protection from the mobs of the dark forest.
