It was a crisp Sunday Morning in Minecraftlandia. Alex awoke to steve blundering around the house.
“We need to harvest the wheat” Steve said.
Steve. The one with 4 pixels, a blue shirt, and generic blue pants. He always got all the glory. Alex never got anything. Alex was always jealous. On numerous attempts she tried to take over the household, take steve’s jobs, and even changed posters to feature him, but to no avail. Alast, Alex thought she would never be featured in Minecraft. j
“Today is the day” alex repeated to herself as she harvested wheat. “Today is the day.”
Alex had big plans for today, after all it was the day of the new update. She knew she would have few chances left to takeover before everybody completely forgot about him ands she ceased to exist.
“Alex, ALEX! are you daydreaming again?” Steve screamed as Alex got back to work.
“Sir no Sir!” Alex said, holding back a chuckle
“Today’s a big day. We have to be ready for the update, tidy up the house. Make the beds do the dishes, and mow the lawn.”
“Ugh.” Alex complained as she went inside to make the beds”
“Today is the day.” Alex kept reminding herself through the laborious day of chores and pointless discussions about new items and remodeling the house.
After nearly 5 hours of labor, Alex had some time to himself at his computer. She had put together a petition a few weeks earlier, hiding it from Steve had taken it’s toll, however as not a single person had signed on to it.
“DAMNIT!” alex screeched at the top of her lungs. Steve immediately ran into the room, and saw what Alex had been doing.
“You son of a damn nutcracker.” steve said calmly as he walked around Alex. Alex punched him. She didn’t know what she was thinking, and she punched Steve. Steve immediately fought back, slamming Alex against his computer. As Alex struggled, she managed to come up with a brilliant plan.
“If I can kill Steve” she thought to himself “Microsoft will have no choice but to feature me on the posters, instead of Steve, I’ll be the star of Next update!”
With his regained strength, Alex pushed away, slamming Steve’s head into the desk.
Steve kicked, but alex grabbed it and spun him around. With Steve’s back exposed, Alex took the opportunity to kick him over. With his opponent finally on the ground, Alex took one last good look at his plan.
“If I kill him, and I’m discovered, I’ll be killed for sure.” she thought then she remembered “They need a character. Someone who they can feature and give to their players. Without me their game would fail, whether I kill Steve or not, I will still exist, and if I kill him, I thrive.”
Taking one last look at Steve’s face, Alex kicks him in the jaw repeatedly. She then tells Steve
“Look, I wanna’ make this as quick and painless as possible, ‘ya got me?”
“ye.. ye.. Yes” Steve croaked.
“Okay, I want you to crawl over to my computer desk there, don’t even try getting up”.
Steve crawled over to the desk, and Alex took it and slammed it on his head repeatedly, until she was sure she had killed Steve. Rejoicing for a little while, then realizing she had just killed his best friend.
Alex eventually got over it and is now the default character in minecraft. She shares this story, teaching people around the globe that murder is not okay.
