Sound names and IDs:

Update maybe done on friday
Until then some errors could be made.

You can use /playsound to play sounds to one player or more!
Use it like so.

() = required.
[] = not required.

Type in /playsound (sound) (Player) [x] [y] [z] [volume] [pitch] [minimumvolume].

(sound) = The sound that you want to play (list down below).

(player) = The player you want to play the sound to. You could also use @a, @r, @e and @p

(@a could be used to play the sound to all of the players online. @r a random player online @e all entity note that not all entity could sound. @p is for the the player the nearest to where the command is executed from)

[x] [y] [z] = These are the coordinates where the sound needs to be played. If you just want to hear them at the players location use ~ ~ ~ .

[volume] = Here you can change the volume of the sound, normal 1 (Min 0 max 1).

[pitch] = How high the sounds sound like. for example: BOOOOM= low BIIIIIIM = high (Min 0 max 2).

[MinimumVolume] = You can set how low the Volume can be.

What is the play sound command for glass breaking?
Anyone know the enderdragon death sound command for mcpe?

All playsound commands should work for MCPE as they do here for java edition. the playsound command for the enderdragon is /playsound mob.enderdragon.death @s
I know this is an old comment, but the names of the sounds in MCPE are actually different than on the Java Edition. /playsound mob.enderdragon.death @s would NOT work on MCPE.

Some of them work for me, and some of them don't. Most notably ambient sounds, which I need for a map. This is my command:

/playsound ambient.cave.3 @a ~ ~ ~ 1 1

Is there anything I am doing wrong? Just switching the name to note.pling or something makes it work fine.

You cant choose which specific sound from sounds of the same name but different number to play in vanilla minecraft, the game will pick one of them at random.

Creeper Hissing Sound?
is it posible that playsound doesnt work on snapqhot 15w43c?
because if i type this command:
/playsound mob.wither.death @a ~ ~ ~ 0 0 1
it doesnt make noise.

Um so when I try to do the random.explode sound and change the number (it says you can do 1-4), it plays the exact same sound no matter what. I tried a lot of different ways of putting the 4, sometimes it didn't play a sound at all, sometimes it would play the same explosion sound as when you didn't put the 4 at all.  COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TYPE THE EXACT COMMANDS FOR EACH SPECIFIC EXPLODE SOUND?

can somebody hel me pls, I`m trying to make an invisible charged creeper that cant move and so far i have the code /summon Creeper ~ ~ ~ {powered:1},{ActiveEffects:[{Id:14,Amplifier:2,Duration:100000}]},{Attributes:[{Name.generic.movementSpeed,Base:0.0001}]} and i encouter an error saying multiple top tags found, expected one and i dont know what that means.

I tried to make a thunder sound, and I used @a[r=25] but it said I was to far away to hear it and I was standing right next to it! 

This was my full command /playsound ambient.weather.thunder @a[r=25] 1 1 1

Please provide me with the real command.

it should be /playsound ambient.weather.thunder @a[r=25] ~ ~ ~.
/playsound ambient.weather.thunder @a[r=25] 1 1 1 plays the sound at coordinates X=1 Y=1 Z=1
Is it possible to make a playsound when it hits dawn and dusk? If so i would love to see the command...

I have a question, what\where are the playsound names for the creepy plasound file names? i cant find em here.
Hi INeedHalpRedstone, Some minecraft playsound names are scarry for instance the Scream of a enderman or The scream of a ghast. And they are in this list but i din't label them as Scary i putted those sounds in there own mob folder exactly Where mojang putted the sounds in minecraft. Go ahead and Shearch for a enderman scream or some other scary sounds in minecraft.
So just one quick question:
for example, i have the cow sounds, and i want to make the one where the cow goes hfff. How would i do that? i have tried using mob.cow.say.1, and all other variations. Please help!

You don't need to put the .1 after it its just there for if you want specific sound of the you like pff.. but if you don't want to hear one pff you don't need to put the one just mob.cow.say like this: /playsound mob.cow.say Dutchpelkie ~ ~ ~ 1
