Today I will be explaining how to prevent grief on your server and how to pick the right staff to moderate your server.
Setting rules
Its pretty obvious that you need to enforce the rule that you cannot grief. If you are not allowing grief, you msut specify the kind of grief. Is this blowing up players houses, or burning down a forest? They don't know because you need to tell them. If your posting your server on Planet Minecraft or some other forum, make you say it in the title or description. This is critical.
Anti-Griefing plugins
Oh no! Some player broke your rules and blew up your house! Well, you need an Anti Grief plugin. Make sure the plugin has inspecting wands and rollback. These are critical when it comes to restoring builds and bringing justice to the player that did it. Here are 2 great anti griefing plugins that I have experience with and I strongly recommend them.

Choosing the right staff
This is EXTREMELY CRITICAL TO YOUR SERVER. Your staff are supposed to moderate the server and enforce rules and maintain it. If you don't trust someone al the way, don't make them staff. Theres no hurt in it, your the owner. If your uncertain who you want as staff, open some sort of application center. Don't accept one that says "hi my name iz andy and im 7 and i like building so staff pls". No... Just no! Make sure its in depth and mostly sophisticated. You want your staff to be able to have some fun, right? Just not too much... and if they say they have prior staff experience, make them prove it! Make them perform some commands or get a recommendation from an owner of another server. Theres no hurt in advertising if they mean well, so don't freak out.
