When the "god" struck and destroyed the humanity, animals, insects and birds were also affected. Many got extinct and for those that were managed to survived man became evolved completely and were not the same creatures we used to know. In this this case, the spiders that are gathered outside the zone 32 barricades are almost as big as 5 years old babies. Not all spiders were turned into these monsters though. many are still little bugs that use webs to catch little flies to feed themselves while there are those that looks like the ones we see out there on the other side of the barricades.
The monsters we see before our eyes are creatures that accepted the dark Aurora that are being emitted from the gap. The Aurora has a strange effects on every living creatures in this world. soils and dirt that received the emission turn themselves into red flaming grounds. Many of our scouts stepped their feet in that land and were never able to come back. Automatically, that land became a place where no one wants to even go near.
Ever after the appearance of the gap , normal Insects and other animals are hard to find. When Greg stated that he saw three spiders in one day, therefore, hinted us that there was something wrong. strangely, all mutated animals and insects do not attack the normal kinds. It almost seems like there is a mastermind who is ordering the mutants to only attack the humans.
"archers! Archers! At your posts! " a man wearing a leather armor was shouting to make villagers to form a position near the barricades with their bows.
"Ho!I didn't know there was such brave commander in this sector. " hissed Greg as he pulled his iron sword out from his wrist.
"Don't be so cocky Greg, we could have died already if we didn't receive any powers from the Hawk."
"Don't you dare put me in a same position as they are, I was still a brave body guard who did not fear death! "
While Greg and John was arguing about braveness, the army of spiders started moving. from the darkness of the deep tunnels,more and more numbers of those giant eight legged monsters emerged. Their multiple red eyes reflected lights as they passes torches that were installed around the tunnels.
"I don't think the barricade will his them for too long " shouted Greg as he sliced another spider that jumped in front of him.
the wooden barricade were being heavily attacked by the armies of hungry spiders trying to taste the blood of freshly killed human being.
"we have no other choice, we have to hold this line or everyone is a dead meat! "
