Hello!
I know it may seem like am copying like 1000 people but trust me I am not. The idea may have origonated from another post like this but this is completely my opinion.
Why do I think some skins are unoriginal?
Well firstly, 60% of skins these days include a mob of some kind [Usually creeper, pig or zombie] wearing something easy to freaking make [Tux, Hoodie]. Speaking of hoodies, the reason so many people make them is because they are really popular and look really cool. They get plenty of downloads and many people use them as their own skins for online minecraft. Another thing is if you put someone else's skin onto PMC and not get banned, it is yours, but if you don't put your own skin on PMC, then get a temp ban and complain how gay the mods are, you really need to look at yourself.
What is wrong with it being unoriginal?
Well the first and most importantly, the actual creator of the skin doesn't get the recognition that he/she deserves. Even if you edit it but still it has the same basic features of the original skin it counts as copying someone else. Secondly, if you are unoriginal, you may actually be a good skinner you just can't be bothered making your own skin.
