So I've found that while making armor stand art, I commonly refer to certain armor stand configurations often needed for simple decorations. Because of this, I'm posting those commands on here for you all to reference! Need a sword lying on the ground or an item displayed on a shelf? The commands here have been optimized to have just the right relative coordinates and arm rotations! Now, granted, you will mostly likely need to tweak the armor stand's coordinates and overall rotation to fit your needs, but these commands should hopefully make creating simple decorations a lot easier by removing the whole process of messing with arm rotation values for forever.
I will be posting another article with commands for some more complex armor stand structures like lanterns and statues in a little while, so expect that some time in the next couple of days!

Important: You will require a command block to use these commands, as they are too long for chat. You should place the command block 1 block below the location where you want the armor stand to spawn.

Sword/Tool Lying on the Ground

/summon ArmorStand ~-.5 ~-2.91 ~1 {Invisible:1,Invulnerable:1b,NoGravity:1b,ShowArms:1b,DisabledSlots:2039583,Pose:{RightArm:[50f,0f,90f]},Equipment:[{id:"minecraft:iron_sword",Count:1b},{},{},{},{}],Rotation:[90f]}

NOTE: This command requires the command block to be ABOVE where you want the tool placed. All other following commands require the command block to be BELOW the target location.

Reminder: You can completely customize the rotation and type of tool playing around with the "Rotation" NBT value and changing the item ID inside the parentheses in the "Equipment" value.

Hanging Tools

/summon ArmorStand ~.3 ~.25 ~.5 {Invisible:1,Invulnerable:1b,NoGravity:1b,ShowArms:1b,DisabledSlots:2039583,Pose:{RightArm:[80f,0f,0f]},Equipment:[{id:"minecraft:iron_sword",Count:1b},{},{},{},{}],Rotation:[0f]}

Rotated 90 degrees:
/summon ArmorStand ~-.5 ~.25 ~.3 {Invisible:1,Invulnerable:1b,NoGravity:1b,ShowArms:1b,DisabledSlots:2039583,Pose:{RightArm:[80f,0f,0f]},Equipment:[{id:"minecraft:iron_sword",Count:1b},{},{},{},{}],Rotation:[90f]}

There are two commands provided. The first spawns a hanging sword aligned along the z axis. The second spawns a hanging sword aligned with the x axis. Having both commands, all you should have to personally change is the ID of the tool that is hanging if you don't want the iron sword.

Display on Shelf (Bottles)

/summon ArmorStand ~ ~-.44 ~ {Invisible:1,Invulnerable:1b,NoGravity:1,ShowArms:1b,Equipment:[{id:"minecraft:glass_bottle",Count:1b},{},{},{},{}],Pose:{RightArm:[180f,270f,90f]},DisabledSlots:2039583,Rotation:[180f]}

You will probably have to mess with more values in this command to make it work. The idea is that the bottles are sitting on stairs as if they're shelves. But you will probably have to change some arm rotation values for some items (it depends on their default orientation in the armor stand's hand). In this command, the shelves are facing west. You'll need to adjust the armor stand's rotation and x/z coordinates if the shelves are facing a different way.

Horizontal Bar/Stick (Useful for a Pig Roast)

/summon ArmorStand ~.05 ~ ~ {Invisible:1,Invulnerable:1,NoGravity:1,ShowArms:1b,Equipment:[{id:"minecraft:stick"}],Pose:{RightArm:[180f,270f,170f]},DisabledSlots:2039583,Rotation:[90f]}

You'll need to adjust the stand's overall rotation to get the stick to point the right way. The command defaults to a bar pointing north and south. Otherwise, the command should be good to go. As a point of reference for making a long bar, spawning a new armor stand every 0.4-0.5 coordinates along the direction it's pointing usually works pretty well.

Thanks for reading, and I hope this resource becomes useful!

It just says 'Unable to summon object'. Any idea how to fix this??
The reason the command block says 'Unable to summon object' is because the code for this is outdated. This is for version 1.8, I believe? I ran into this problem myself, I made my own command for the sword:

/summon armor_stand ~-.2 ~-2.91 ~1 {Invisible:1b,Invulnerable:1b,NoGravity:1b,ShowArms:1b,Rotation:[90f],ArmorItems:[{},{},{},{}],HandItems:[{id:"iron_sword",Count:1b},{}],DisabledSlots:1973790,Pose:{RightArm:[50f,0f,90f]}}

Keep in mind this only works with the sword and sticks and any diagonal items in Minecraft. Other items are positioned differently. But your a level 9 so your probably better at commands than me, so you can probably do that part yourself.
