Hey guys,
I was talking to one of my subscribers recently, and he asked me to review one of his submissions. So I accepted, and here I am. That is the story behind this post, seeing that I don't usually do reviews.
So here is a picture of his airship...
I really think that he did some things well, and there are some things that could be improved. I think that the shape of the ship is beautiful. He really did a good job of making sure that the curves that are present on a boat of that kind were recreated perfectly. I really liked the appearance of the outside of the ship and the sails. The sails look like they are blowing in the breeze. Now lets take a look at the deck.
In my opinion, the outward appearance of the ship was better and more aesthetically pleasing than the deck. The deck still looks appealing, but it comes across as cluttered to me. The obsidian inlaid in the wood planks was a nice, tasteful touch, and I think it goes a long way saying the amount of effort he put into it. I don't know if you can see from this picture, but at the bow there is a place where you can step up and look over the side. That is very nice.
This ship is very unique. It has a feature that is rarely seen. IT HAS SOUND EFFECTS! When you step on the deck, you trigger a repeating piston process making a sound that is somewhat like an engine chugging! That is really cool to me.
ARREXP did a nice job of making his ship different. In the back he added exhaust. I think that this is really cool. Take a look.
All in all, I thought the project was a very impressive one. He took his time, a lot of it, and made the project unique and his own. I think that this is a top quality submission.
