Chapter 1 - The First Awakening
CREATE NEW WORLD
She awoke with a jolt. The soreness in her neck was a sensation that told her that she was alive. She stretched her arms in the air and stood up, rubbing her eyes as she tried to make out the landscape around her.

She was standing in a green plain, surrounded by tall grass and small red flowers. The wind blew around her, a slight breeze that delivered the smell of petals. She couldn't remember what it was called, but the fragrance filled her with a sense of nostalgia. She looked up at the bright blue sky, at the flat clouds that glided lazily across, and at the sun, which was slowly but steadily rising, nature's clock telling her that it was past morning.

Immediately she decided to start working on her surroundings. She knelt down, and frantically dug at the ground with her hands. The grass felt prickly beneath her fingers, but gave way to reveal soft soil. She could hear nothing but the sounds of mulching dirt as she continued to dig deeper and deeper. Suddenly, she felt pain as her hands hit something hard. She cleared the remaining dirt and found that she had reached a layer of grey stone. With only her hands to dig, there was no way for her to continue digging downwards. Without faltering, she started to widen the hole, gathering more and more dirt. Occasionally, the grass will fall into the hole from above, and she pocketed the many seeds and flowers that showered around her.

After a while, she looked up a the sky again, noticing that the sun was already directly above her and had started to make its descent. She decided that she had enough dirt to use, and quickly climbed out of the hole, She looked around for other materials to use. In the distance, there was a vaguely familiar figure, which was a good place to start, so she started jogging towards the unknown object. As she ran, she thought she could see the edge of the horizon forming new lands, fields that seemed to have not existed before she noticed them.

As she came closer, she could see why she thought it was familiar. It was a tree, a solitary oak standing in the grassy fields, its leaves rustling in the gentle breeze. She ran up to the tree and placed some of her dirt on the side, forming a small hill for her to climb up the tree. After clearing the leaves away and reaching the top of the tree trunk, she started to scratch at the wooden surface, ignoring the bark and splinters that attacked her palms. As she scratched, the leaves floated down around her, and she could hear the thump of the branches as they hit the ground. Little by little, the trunk was whittled down, until finally it was gone, and in its place was a small patch of brown land where the tree used to be.

She picked up the logs and turned to gather the branches. Among the branches, she found a bright red apple. She took a bite from it, tasting the sweet juice, and felt much less fatigued. She looked up at the sky once more and saw that the sun was setting quite low in the sky. And so she started to build.

Layers upon layers of dirt were piled around her, and walls were formed from the tall mounds. She then started on the roof, and was astonished at how easily the moist dirt managed to stick together above her head. She left a small hole in the center of the roof to let the light in. The last rays of sunlight shone through as the sky was tinted orange and the sun sank below the horizon. The stars appeared in the sky, tiny white dots in a vast ocean of dark indigo. The moon started to rise, in a similar fashion to the sun, but with a light that pales in comparison. She could see that it was a full moon, and this comforted her, for it gave her enough light for her to examine her possesions; a few logs, some branches, grass seeds, red flowers and some dirt.

Using the light of the moon as her guide, she found a crack on one of the logs, and lodging her fingers in there, she pulled at the wood, splitting it into pieces. The snapping of wood echoed throughout her dirt shelter. She continued to split the logs until she had one left; she decided to keep a single log whole for the time being. With the pieces of timber, she fashioned herself a makeshift table, and propped it against the wall of her shelter. She stood back and proudly admired her handiwork.

And that was when she heard it. A low growling sound, audible over the chirping of crickets and the rustling of the grass outside.

In a wild panic, she rushed to the table and started to craft a weapon with her supply of timbers, binding them using the strips of wood she got from splitting them earlier. Minutes passed, and the growling grew only louder and more restless. Finally, she had finished her makeshift weapon. It looked like a crude mace, with a sharpened point on one side of the head. She figured that depending on how dangerous the creature was, she might be able to scare it away.

By now the growling had now become more clearer, and she could tell from which side of her shelter the noise was coming from. After making a mental note to build a proper entrance, she pulled the dirt wall aside.

"GRRUUHHH"

It looked barely human. In the moonlight she could see the disfigured face with blank, lifeless eyes, and she stepped back as it tried to grab at her through the hole in her wall. She pulled her weapon behind her and took a giant swing at the undead being, making sure to aim the pointy end at its forehead. There was a crunching noise, then angrier growling as the creature flew into a rage and tried to squirm its large body into the small hole. As it did, she took another swing at it. Then a few more for good measure.

Finally there was silence. She looked at her weapon, which was badly damaged but still useable, and decided to go outside to check the corpse for materials she could use. Realising that the hole was quite small, she dug away more dirt, until there was a hole big enough for her to walk through. Once again she picked up her weapon and cautiously moved outside.

Immediately she felt the cold air of the night, and wondered whether going outside was a good idea. She went to check on the corpse, which had landed a few steps away from the shelter. The smell was rotten and unhygenic, but she felt she had to do it or she won't last the night.

After a thorough search, she decided that she had wasted her time. She got up and walked back to her shelter. As she entered, she thought it would be a good idea to block up the shelter with more dirt and wait for the sun to rise before heading out again. She turned around to start placing dirt back in the entrance. She didn't see the unwelcome intruder until it was too late...

Chapter 2 - In progress
PLAYER WAS KILLED BY CREEPER
She awoke with a jolt. Her whole body was itching with the feeling of scorched skin, and she quickly checked her arms, expecting horrible burns, but she to her surprise she was completely unscathed. She felt her face with her hands to reassure herself that she was okay, before standing up to check her surroundings.

She was in the hole that she had dug earlier. The stars above her were disappearing, and the sky had started to brighten as the sun began to appear over the horizon. Climbing out of the hole, she could see the shelter that she had built in the distance, or at least what was left of it. She ran towards the husk of dirt, now grey with ash and fuming with smoke. There was no trace of the creature that appeared the night before. She also found it odd that despite being in the shelter at the time, she had woken in the dirt pit. Did something move her to the pit after the explosion?

Her foot felt something hard and wooden, and she knelt down to find her weapon, half-buried in the ground, proof that she was here before. Most of the wood she had stockpiled before was gone, including her makeshift table, however, after some searching, she found a few branches that survived, as well as the log she had saved up.
