BattleFail 3: Sinking below and short of the Call

Why the HECK did EA decide to sell the kit unlocks for $$$? What on Earth were they thinking? Battlefield's glory was that it was one of the few games in the market that made you earn your weapons! Not pay money for them! That's a little something called capitalism.

I will never understand why they did this. They took my favorite game ever, and turned it into a nightmare. A big ol' nightmare with little ten year olds, and noobs of all ages running around with the DAO-12, or the USAS-12. You'll now see people with all the noobiest guns ever.

Also, I hate how now everyone can get a stupid server with the new "Rent a server" crap. Now, all the servers are run by ten year olds.

I am steaming right now with rage. Call of Duty has been and will always be a fail, but why does Battlefield need to join in the hall of fail?

It's official. The FPS genre is now officially dead. Good-bye. Rest in peace. Requiescat en pace. And I say that because now I'll have to turn to Assassin's creed, or Skyrim.

In all honesty, I'd rather play BF and put up with the gun-buying crap then think about playing COD. I'm not a BF fanboy; I just genuinely like it much more than COD. I, and hopefully everyone else, think BF3 was just an all-out better game than MW3. Maybe Black Ops 2 will be better than the next BF game; I don't know.

I completely agree. Its stupid that those who worked hard to rank up and gain weapons in BF3 pre-bundle package now get to sit and watch little 10 year olds beg to their mom that they "need" to buy this when realistically they're just little twerps who are too selfish and unappreciative to earn these things on their own. And that stupid rent-a-server deal is stupid too. Whenever I join a game on ANY game type or map it takes me strait to a private server and then I get kicked by the admin/owner because they were boosting and didn't want me to interfere. Now I have to server browse- which a lot of people don't realize they can do- until I find a public server. >:O I'm pissed too.

I am angry beyond words. I think that since BF was the best FPS series, and it's going down that path, we might as well kiss first person shooters goodbye. Someone needs to step in and put an end to this nonsense. You know, make a new FPS series that won't pull any Call of Duty or Battlefield crap.

Even though this blog and this post is old, I was thinking of making an FPS that wouldn't be like CoD or Battlefield. I could do it, it would just take lots of time.
