Hello everyone. I'm going to teach you how to effectively PvP, move around faster and other amazing tips!
Leave a comment if it helped you!

#1 Tip - Strafe

The basic definition of strafe is when you move left to right. Strafing in Minecraft is honestly the best trick you could ever do in PvP, as it's very hard to hit. To pull this off, you want to move left and right, and circle around the enemy. Keep practising and you'll be a badass killer!

#2 Tip - FOV

FOV can change your PvP a lot. Normally, I would keep it at quake pro without any potion effects, however if I have speed II I will keep it at 90. Quake pro will allow you to see incoming enemies from the sides.

#3 Tip - Sensitivity

Lots of people play with their sensitivity kept at 100%. This is a bad thing. The reason for this is because if you are in a 2v1, it would be harder to hit your enemy, especially if they are strafing, you are dead. You would want to keep your sensitivity quite high. Try to practise.

#4 Tip - Miscallaneous

A lot of people do not understand the power of Strength II. Since 1.6, they buffed Str II making it extremely overpowered. It gives you a 260% bonus. Swift II is a good potion too, which will increase your speed by a lot.

#5 Tip - Blockhitting

Blockhitting is when you click left click and right click together, this will half your damage as well as hitting the opponent.
This is a very good technique when getting 2v1'd, or your enemy has a stronger sword. However, I wouldn't recommend doing this when you are owning and getting combo's on the enemy, as it can slow you down.

#6 Tip - Combo's

A combo in Minecraft is when you attack your enemy so much that it flings them into the air, and you are still attacking them in mid air. When your enemy is in that position, on his screen it's impossible to attack you, but on your screen you are right near him. This is quite hard to explain, and I will give videos in the future about how this is done!

#7 Tip - Movement

Sometimes, bobbing off can help you a lot. It will help you when parkouring and running from the enemy. One trick I found a while ago was to spam jump when in a 2 block room, as it could speed up you EXTREMELY. Always run and jump. Do NOT run and jump when you have speed II, as it will slow you down more than running by it's self.

#8 Tip - Jumping

Jumping is a very good trick, as when landing crits it can deal half a heart/a heart of damage more. I would try to crit when I'm in a small space. Do not crit if you are in an open area and your enemy is a good PvPer, as when getting hit while jumping you could get knocked back which would give the enemy 2 advantages: One is it's more easier for them to escape with you more far away, two is they can combo you while you are knocked back, and you would easily take lots of damage.

#9 Tip - Water Bucket Trick

A water bucket is very useful, for taking no damage or climbing things. A really epic trick I found is that when falling, you would want to right click the water bucket as soon as you're near the floor, which will make you land on water and not take any damage. Sometimes, you could time it wrong, but after a few minutes of practising, it's really easy.

#10 Tip - Items

Always have a flint and steel, water bucket, and a lava bucket with you. Flint and steel is an easy way to set your enemy on fire and slow them down, and block a bit of their view. Water bucket can be useful for climbing things, taking no fall damage (as mentioned in the above tip) and slowing down your enemy from walking towards you. Lava bucket can be an extremely deadly weapon. If placed correctly, your enemy would get burnt, and taking lots of damage, while being slowed down. With the lava spreading, it would be very hard for the enemy to get out, and you would be already killing them.

Bonus Tip! Always hold CTRL (Sprint)!

That is it, I'm going to be slowly adding other things that I found that could help you in PvP!
I hope it helped!

It always astounds me how many people don't understand the concept of strafing, or even realize it exists. Also nice to see people who acknowledge how high sensitivty helps - I play on HYPERSPEED!!!

Thanks for the comments guys!

Also I agree with you, flint and steel, a lava bucket and and a water bucket in your inventory may help you. But since most servers people fight in arena's or in the warzone outside of spawn, it's protected and you won't be able to place them.
