The centrifuge whirled slowly, as the great space station crossed the heavens. This was all I knew, for the land below was dead, a wasteland. I sighed as I looked out the window, a sad sound, watching the bad ground. The view passed out of vision as the centrifuge continued its relentless spin. I walked over to the kitchen, and poured myself a cup, of something that I did not know the name of, but was invariably produced from the machine. It tasted somewhat like tea, but a bit stronger, and with more nutrition. I walked over to the lounge, and sat apon a tattered blue couch, my eyes wandered around the room as I sipped at the plastic cup. An Elevator was in the corner, a kitchen, a door to the bedroom, and a side room for the bathroom, The earth came into view again through the great windows. And I watched.

A few minutes later I walked to the elevator. And it began to descend. A prerecorded voice said quietly, "Please be advised that you are entering the center of the centrifuge, please strap on your seat belt". I didn't bother. Instead I walked over to the wall and opened up the command box. And waited. Gravity started lessening, until it vanished completely. And I pressed the stop button.

The elevator stopped. and there was silence. I pushed off of the floor and glided slowly towards the ceiling. I stopped my motion completely and smiled. I did a roll in mid air, and then I realized.

I had broken gravity. Gravity had no hold on me, and I had no hold on it, I had gotten rid of the fetters that forced me to stay on the ground. There were no rules where there was no gravity. You had the freedom to fly around as you wished, Nothing could stop me. I smiled wider. I was free.

This is a short story that I wrote in a few minutes, it came from a random Idea that popped into my head, and I came up with a few ideas to go around that.

The thing that was broken was the grip of gravity, this was broken by being at the center of the centrifuge, if you don't know the centrifuge is, it is a component of a space station (hypothetical) which is a giant ring which revolves and creates gravity by its momentum.
