Hello, Pineapple Revolution! Today is my first tutorial on my go-to house-type-hole thing.
Step One: Find an area with dirt so you can mine easily.
Step Two: Dig a hole like this:
OOOOOOO * OOOO
OOOOOO * * OOOO
OOOOOO* *
Asterisks mark one block, brown is dirt.
Step Three: Replace the red space with a block of dirt, crafting table, etc.
OOOOOOO * OOOO
OOOOOO * * OOOO
OOOOOO* *
Step Four: Continue digging to the left (as seen from the 'picture') to mine or expand the house.
Why would you ever make this crappy home, GOSH?!?!?!
Don't get your knickers in a bunch, or whatever. Notice: Only passive mobs can fit through the gap, because they are only one block. No hostile mobs tonight, SCORE! Plus, you have a nice little opening to a.) kill mobs if they fall and they can't hurt you b.) see the time of day and c.) easily get out and see your surroundings.
With the limited stuff I could do, I hope you still enjoy the tutorial! I will add pictures in the future hopefully per step, but you can see the screenshot of the final result.
