Greetings All,
I would like to introduce you to this blog about Bumping and what it means.
Bumping is a word commonly seen on the forums and most people do not
understand what it means, which I find is quite sad, so here I am to help your understanding.
I wrote this blog because I always see the word "Bump" on the forums, and I
just wanted to show you guys (the viewers) what this term means...
Bump is a term used to boost your forum's views...
It is an abbreviation of Bring Up My Post (B.U.M.P).
A "Bump" brings an old post back for everyone to see again...
It gives the owner of the post, another chance to get some views.
Which may cause his post to become popular, and get some subscribers.
How do you feel about always seeing the word "Bump" in the forums?
Bumping on submission's are not allowed, unless you actually have updated the post.
So make sure you do not use the Update Log just for bumping, because your submission
will probably get removed and you may even get banned for a while.
On Chat when you are trying to "Bring Up My Post" you may only post a link every 15 minutes.
On the Forums only use B.U.M.P. every 24 hours, so keep that in mind and don't get
yourself into trouble with the Moderators....
I think bumping is a desperate attempt to get more views, especially on necro-bumping
(when the post is completely dead and you bump it, to get some more views).
So make sure you do not over use this helpful tool in the forums...
Do not get yourself into trouble, by making sure to read the paragraph above on how to use it...
If you are confused, I can answer your questions in the comments.
I hope this post improved your knowledge on Bumping + What it means...
