Recently there has been a lot of chatter about the new Nether in the Minecraft 1.0 update. After exploring I have found many new things to try out in the Nether. I am writing this blog to tell you a few of the many new activities and gizmos in the Nether.

Nether mining?
Yes! You can now find gold in the Nether! How? Follow these basic steps to find out!
1. Find a zombie pigman!
2. Put a gun to its head!
3. Blow its zombie brains out!
4. Enjoy your gold nugget! Now craft that mess into gold!

Nether Forts?
You've always wanted to build a house in the Nether but never could get the right resources. Well worry no more! Exclusively for lazy ass, they built pre-made Nether fortresses. Beware though, our next topic might make living in one of these a little hard.


Blaze mobs?
Yeah, these spinning little pests shoot molten hot fireballs right at your face. Wait what? They're just like tiny ghasts? NO! These little guys shoot fireballs that set you on fire! No they don't blow up your stuff like ghasts because Notch knows that the last thing we need is a flying creeper. They like to drop blaze rods which can be crafted into blaze powder!
