Not everyone on pmc is popular. No one starts out that way. And no, it isn't easy to become popular. Look at me. I've been around for almost 3 years now on pmc. I've gained 21 levels. But some people are popular. There are really 3 different kind of popular people. They follow:

1: The ultra popular, everything-gets-pop-reeled, type person. disco_ is an example of this, the best PMCer ever. Everything he makes is popular. The temple of notch, for example. But it isn't just that. It's everything. I bet you could name some skinners like that, *cough*sugar*cough* and some other members. This is hardest popular to be on PMC.

2: The popular guy who has a couple really good things, but without them would probably still be a journeyman. An example? I don't know, there are a lot of them. If you just look, there is usually someone with a completly awesome texture pack but 3 crappy skins and 4 okay blogs. And they're a level 64. This is common. This is the easiest popular to become on PMC.

3: The guy who has one-two posts, and basically under one catigory. This could be mods, texture packs, projects, whatever. An example? Doku. He has one post. I think he's a level 82, but you can correct me if I'm wrong. That post is the dokucraft texture pack, one of the most legendary MC texture packs. This is probably the second hardest one to become.

Now, how do you climb out of the Journeyman hole and become this extremely popular grandmaster guy? Well, it's hard. I'll tell you how to for each one.

For #1: You have to have one skill. Are you a good skinner? If so, post a lot of them. Same with blogging, modding, building, pretty much everything on PMC. If you have that one skill, and you get known, (which you could if you are REALLY good at what you do) you may become this guy.

For #2: Now, if your skill is either texture pack making, modding, server making, or building, you may be in luck. Make one or two of these really good things, and if you are REALLY good at your skill, you could get popular. Along with that, maybe you like to make skins, but you aren't great at it. You can make skins along with this awesome post! Now you're popular!

For #3: Basically what you do for number 2, but the one thing has to be doubled in how good it is. And you can only post 1-3 different things. If you don't, you become either one or 2.
