I mean, you can always do it on a steve template then download that skin and go to skindex or something and select the alex template and redo the shading, I do that when i get lazy.

alex style skins are pretty easy! If you have mcskin3d it has an option to make alex skins, it makes the arms 3 pixel so it's a lot easier XD I used to use an online skin editor and it didn't give me an option for alex skins ;n; I had to use black bars so I didn't mess up and put pixels in the wrong place XD
