Advanced Farming Mod (Crops and Animals +)
This mod is simple to understand, but can be very deeply in-depth. I already know that there are tons of other mods that add new crops. This somewhat does that. But unlike some other mods Io ve seen, this also enhances animals.
Main Idea
Make Minecraft animals drop and/or produce more products that can be used to make the farming aspect of the game very different from vanilla Minecraft. Also, a new mob will be added to the gameo a goat. The new features will be as follows:
Animal Changes
Cows
Cows will occasionally drop manure likes chickens drop eggs. When mixed with bone meal, the completed concoction would be rightly called fertilizer. It can grow crops in an instant, and can be applied to the farmland before growing. This treated soil grows crops at a faster rate (2.25 x perhaps). It also gives the crop a chance to yield more products (three bushels of wheat instead of 1). Cows also will have a limit of 5 buckets of milk each. You can give them apples to replenish their milk. If a baby cow is killed, there is a 60% chance that veal is dropped. It has the same qualities as beef.
Pigs
Just like cows would, pigs will also drop manure like chicken drop eggs. This will be classified as the same thing that is from cows, and it would have the same effect. When pigs are killed, they will have a 50% chance of dropping three pieces of pork skin and a 10% chance of dropping one piece of bacon. When pork skin is put in a furnace, cooking it will produce pork rinds. When eaten, the pork rinds will heal 2 hunger bar pieces. If they are eaten raw, there is a 5% chance of getting poisoned. Bacon, on the other hand, heals five hunger bar pieces. In turn, it has a 45% chance of making you sick if you eat it raw.
Sheep
Unfortunately, sheep still do not drop meat. But, their wool has a new purpose. If you make a set of gold shears (made of gold ingots instead of iron), the sheep will drop 5 blocks of wool. The wool can then be used to make clothes. Each piece of clothing will be made the same way as armor, but the clothing will not protect the player in any way. Each article of clothing can also be dyed just as leather armor can be. The wool can also be made into carpet (three wool at the bottom). This will cover the floor of your house in a wool texture, just set on top of the floor block. This can be dyed as well. (Right-click on image icon and open in new tab)

Goats (New mob addition)
Goats will be a new mob that will serve several common purposes. The adult goats themselves can be milked just like cows. There will be a limit of 5 buckets of milk each, until the goat eats grass to replenish the milk. When you get a bucket of goato s milk, you will be able to place it down. If a bucket of goats milk is placed in a dark area for 20 Minecraft days, it will turn into goat cheese. To get the cheese, you would simply pick the bucket back up and put it in a crafting square. The product will be goat cheese, leaving the bucket behind in the square to reuse. Goat cheese gives 2.5 points on the hunger bar. When baby goats are killed, the have an 80% chance to drop a leg of lamb. This can be cooked in a furnace and have the same qualities as a pork chop.

Crops and Plant Life
Medicinal Flower
A new flower will be added to grow in the wild called a Medicinal Flower. It spawns around the world just as regular flowers do. They will be found in small numbers everywhere, but will be very plentiful on top of mountains (Extreme hills biome). After putting it in the furnace to make Medicinal Powder, it can be combined with a water bucket to make an Antibiotic. This could be used on the player to heal 2.5 hearts with a side effect of Slowness for about 10-15 seconds. If used on an animal such as a cow, more beef will be produced when the cow is killed. This meat increase will happen 75% of the time for all animals. If given to a pig, not only will its meat amount be increased, but they also would run faster when ridden. Because of the Antibiotic, pigs can be controlled without the Carrot on a Stick. Unlike pigs and cows, chickens will not drop manure that can enhance crops. So chickens are useless you say? Wello ¦not totally. When given Antibiotic, chicken will produce more meat, exactly like cows and pigs do. But in turn they will be harder to kill. They will receive a speed boost of 1.5x, and a jump boost of 2x after being given the Antibiotic. They will also produce eggs 2x faster after given the Antibiotic. This period of egg production will last for 5 Minecraft days. If given to a sheep, the Antibiotic will make the sheep produce one more piece of wool.
Tomato Plant
The tomato plant is grows two blocks in height just like sugar cane. In fact, it is just like sugar cane, except you have to grow it in tilled dirt. Every time you break one blocko s worth, it will give one to three tomatoes each. When you combine a tomato, goat cheese, and potato (all on top of a bowl), tomato salad is made. The tomato salad heals two hearts and fills four units on the hunger bar. If a tomato is combined with a bowl of water, it makes tomato sauce, which will be mentioned later.
Pepper Plant
The plant is found around the world and when broken gives five pepper (dust like items). This gathered pepper can be used to spice items. When items are spiced, they fill up one more piece of the hunger bar. If pepper is eaten by itself, it cause one heart of damage.
Wheat (Additions)
Wheat can be put in a crafting square and be turned into flour. When flour is mixed with a water bucket, dough is made and the bucket is refunded. Dough can be baked to make bread. (So this is really another way to make bread). If you put dough on the bottom of the crafting square, tomato sauce on top of it, and then goat cheese on top of the tomato sauce, pizza will be made. Pizza can be placed down like cake, but instead of taking away the edge piece by piece, one slice will be taken away. There are 8 slices to one pizza, each slice healing two hearts and three pieces of hunger.
Onion Plant
Onions are planted and harvested just like carrots and potatoes are. When you put an onion into a crafting square, 12 onion slices will be made (rings). By combining two buckets of water and flour (mentioned above), batter will be created. Each bucket of batter can coat 12 onion slices. After that, the onion slices are put into the furnace and onion rings are made. Onion rings heal one hunger bar section per piece, just like melons do.
Fruit Trees
Lemon, lime, orange, banana (tropical looking), and peach trees will spawn randomly throughout the world. By destroying the leaves of said tree, there is a chance that the specific fruit to the tree will be dropped; many like apples on a regular tree, but the drops are more often. When destroyed, the leaves will have a chance to drop apples and saplings like regular trees, but the dropping of the fruit would be extremely likely, almost guaranteeing one fruit for two leaves broken.

Machinery
Tractor
The tractor has two uses. You can toggle between them. The first use is mowing mode. If you are riding along and run over any long grass, then that grass will be broken (It would be great for plains that are covered in grass. Instead of destroying each piece of grass, run over it with the tractor). The tractor can also be set to tilling mode. Any grass or dirt block ran over will automatically be tilled. The tractor runs on coal and has durability. The durability only decreases when you run into something with the tractor.
Snow-Blower
The same idea as the tractor, except it is used in snow and doesno t have a mode to till the ground. The snow ran over will be shot slightly away from the player. Runs on coal, and is only damaged when you run into something.

Why would this be a good modification to Minecraft?
This mod would be helpful in the average playero s Minecraft because of its variety of food options that it would add. The mod would also boost the food production and industry aspect of Minecraft, making it so important things get done faster and more conveniently. Again, this mod improves the farming aspect of the game greatly. But unlike other farming mods, new crops and plants are not the only focus of the mod. Several items are added to increase the convenience of several unseen but annoying aspects of Minecraft, and also to improve the present features.
