I'm creating this blog so that people can watch from the very beginning
how my channel grows and improves. If it does these things. I'll make a
submission every time I upload a minecraft related video. I hope to get
some feedback and other things of that nature to help keep my channel
progressing. I'm open to any criticism as long as it's constructive :)
(edit:) PLEASE NOTE I AM NO LONGER PLAYING ON WERTY BECAUSE ONE OF THE ADMINS (danilikesbutts) CHASED ME AWAY. I NO LONGER RECOMEND THIS SERVER. THE VIDEO I MADE IS UNLISTED SO YOU CAN WATCH IT HERE ONLY.
Sometime last night my first episode of my Werty series finnished uploading. This video is part of a group of videos I call Server Somedays. This video is kinda weird because it was recorded back before 1.8 and before the server changed the world for 1.8. This means the video is kinda pointless, but I liked the footage so I decided to upload it anyway.
This brings up an interesting question: does it matter if a video has context if there is good comentary and gameplay? If you have a series, what matters more, the progression you make in the game or the indevidual episodes? I find myself clicking on and being entertained by videos that are parts of series that I'm not watching. The LPer may be twenty episodes in, but because he/she is entertaining I still enjoyed the video. So does it matter if I have this one random video on this world before moving on to 1.8 and a completely different world?
From what I've already said, I think the answer for the most part is no. But it might be lacking a bit. I thinka allot of people really enjoy watching series from the begnning because they want to see how you improve and how you progress through the world. This is the type of thing that will cause nastalgea and create a loyal fan. Its better, I think, to make a real series if you can. I'm assuming the fan base will be stronger that way. Fortunately with my channel so small it doesn't really effect me. If it ever grows to be bigger it will, so I have to keep that in mind. Especially sense there are allot of people who would become big fans and go back and watch the series from the beginning. (Please do not get confused. I don't think I'm going to get big.) I myself am that way. When I first descovered the mindcrack I took the time and went back to watch all of season one and two from everyones perspective. My mindcrack binge watching has slowed down and I'm kinda inching my way through season three right now. I can only hope to create videos as interesting as those guys.
Thanks for reading and be sure to check out my channel for more videos and subscribe if you like them :) It will make myd ay knowing someone enjoys my videos. I read every comment i get and reply as well. You should also follow me on twitter to get latest news about my videos.
