Experiment 001

Begin log.

June 19th, 1940
A German research base on the outskirts of Berlin.

This document follows the experimentation of a new, genetically modified, sentient being. Doctor Wilhelm and Doctor Gutenberg have audio records of all experimentation.

WILHELM: The nodes are functioning at 100% capacity.

GUTENBERG: Is the subject awake?

W: No, it seems to be sleeping, but its brainwaves are sporadic...

G: So it is... dreaming?

W: I would think so, but look at the charts.

-The sound of ruffling papers is heard-

G: That... that isn't possible...

G: Check the machines.

W: I have... there is no mistake.

G: That means it is developing a consciousness!

-There is a screeching sound as claws scrape against steel-

W: Oh god, check the pressure sensors!

-Rapid typing on a keyboard-

G: The first containment cell is breached, going into lock-down now.

-Bars drop down and clang against cement-

W: I-Its gonna escape... We know it is hostile now...

-More screeching, this time by 001 itself, Wilhelm whimpers-

G: Oh man up, nothing can get past these bars.

W: It already tore the steel cell to shreds!

-Gutenberg loads a pistol and hands it to Wilhelm-

G: We have guns.

W: Okay, okay... Hold on... The noises stopped, check the sensors.

-More typing, Gutenberg gasps-

W: What is it?!

G: Its... it is not in the cell anymore...

-There is a loud roar from somewhere in the room and Wilhelm fires a few rounds-

W: I hit it!

-The sound of flesh being torn apart is heard-

G: SHIT, WILHELM!

-Gutenberg grabs the recorder and runs out of the room, panting and heavy footsteps are heard-

-A closet door opens and slams shut, Gutenberg breathes heavily-

G: He is dead... i-it killed him...

-Experiment 001 growls from outside the door and Wilhelm curses under his breath-

G: To whoever finds this recording, this facility is to be quarantined, it just isn't safe. The thing can't be killed, there is no point resisting it. If you so much as think about it, you are dead. Just don't do it, don't-

-He is cut off by a loud crash and the sound of bones snapping and flesh tearing. 
Gutenberg gurgles and drops the recorder, Experiment 001 is heard devouring his remains.-
