Death
Steve sat there with a grin on his face. He hadn't felt the breeze on his face in such a soothing way before in a very long time. He had just come back from an extremely long mining trip that had taken the breath out of him. But he had finally found his diamonds. The twelve of them were laid beside him on the rock. He took a sight of them and realised how worth it it is.
A small child walked along the road singing. She bounced from side to side. The gravel on the road didn't make a noise beneath her feet. Steve glanced at her, she had black hair and she was wearing a yellow dress. She had bare feet. He stared at her until she came exactly north of him. He looked at her and shouted "What are you doing?" She did not reply.
Over an intense minute he stared at her. Afraid to take his eyes off her for even a second, he fumbled around for his diamonds. But they were gone. He looked around panicked and alert and saw them a foot away. He grabbed them and placed them in his inventory. "What a relief!" he thought. When he sat on his rock at looked at where the girl had been. She wasn't there any longer.
He looked around sure she can't have gotten far. Then he saw her, walking the same road she had walked when he first saw her. But this time, she wasn't singing. It was a silence. She stopped in the same place as she stood when she had first stopped. Steve's heart beat like it was to pop out of his chest at any moment. Thump Thump. Thump Thump. Then she slowly raised her head. Steve's heart stopped. Her face. She had burns all over it. One eye still lay untouched. He watched her as her eye slowly turned to look at him. She tilted her head, her purple eye void of life dropped to one side. She then made the most horrible noise. A mouth opened from her temple and she charged at Steve.
Steve, pulled out a diamond thinking as fast as he could and stabbed the girl in the heart with the pointiest part of the diamond. She fell to the floor and all that remained were her clothes. Later that night when Steve returned home. There she was laying asleep on his bed. His heart stopped as he rolled over almost as slow as a snail travels a mile. And stared at him. Then she was gone.
Now every day, Steve looks around and she is always there. Watching him. With her burned face and her beady eye. One day he found a note and the note said
"Death"
Then the world went black.
