Chapter 1 - The Dawning

Sunlight. Beaming down on my head like the banging of a drum. It's early here on Bonashall Isle. The temperature never drops below thirty, we have to remain hydrated if we wish to survive this scorching heat. It can be hard living here, the land isn't as fertile as it once was, we essentially live off fruits and meats. Hard indeed. Especially if I have two other mouths to feed. My darling wife and my champ of a lad. They are my world, they are the reason why I get up every morning, making sure that my fields are kept to, to ensure the safety of my wife and boy.

Recently we have seen a sailor travel these parts a lot more than usual. He often stops by at the port and wails on about the discovery of some ruins, I haven't had the time to see what all of the fuss is about but I will do soon. It is becoming night now and my crops need their late night watering to ensure they can survive the heat during the day tomorrow. It is going to be a busy day tomorrow. It's morning again and just as I was thinking about this yesterday, the sailor has popped by today, I decided to take both my wife and son to the port to see what he is to babble on about this time. Again, it's the talk of these ruins. I must confront him about this.

Chapter 2 - The Ruining

I confronted the Sailor and managed to find myself upon his boat. My wife and son are taking care of my crops. Time to see what this guy is baffling about. His breath stinks, I mean my mouth is not the cleanest but this guy must be eating the same amount of rubbish that comes out of his mouth. He is quite scruffy looking, he has a beard, no longer than a few inches, he wears a bandana which isn't a bad idea in this heat. His vest is tatted and he is covered in redness, possible sunburns. I can already tell that I am going to regret agreeing to come along on this trip. He tells me that he is taking me to these ruins that he has discovered, let's hope he doesn't kill me along the way.

It's a stormy night and we are in a paddle boat, with enough room for our feet to not touch each other. I could not think of a much worse experience than this... or so I thought. We hit a massive wave which crashed down on us like a tonne of banana crates had fallen on us. The boat split in half, knocking the sailor out in the process. I am alone. I left my wife and son. I have nothing, besides my worrying thoughts on whether I will ever return home. How stupid of me to take this risk, how utterly stupid of me to have done this. I left everything behind because my curiosity tempted me. What do I do now? What do I do if I end up being beached up on a wild island with nothing there?

Before long the night became day, here I am on a piece of the boat, no food, little clean water in my flask, nothing to create clean water with... nothing besides myself and my thoughts. How I miss my family, how I wish I could turn back time and change all of this...

What's that in the distance? A shimmer in the water? Is it a coin? Am I hallucinating? No, it's definitely something. What do I do? Do I investigate and quite possibly lose my boat or do I stay here and continue floating...? It didn't take a while to change my mind and it didn't take must hesitation. I took the risk, besides what do I have to lose, I have already lost everything...

I need to hold my breath whilst I enter those ruins, though I do not think I will be able to hold my breath long enough to get down there? I will have to go into these ruins and find an air pocket somewhere down there. I held my breath with as much force as a whale's tail and I swam for dear life. Swimming and swimming and swimming until I am in these ruins, there isn't much water in here, though I am down far on the sea floor, there isn't much water in here? How is that possible? The shimmer? Is it a compass with a clock on it? Though this clock isn't anything I have seen before, it's as though it is running on some energy source other than fire? What could it be? Some sort of alien technology that we have not yet discovered the use of? Some ancient device? Whatever it is, it is making such a horrible buzzing noise. Have I made it do this? I'd best not move it.

Over to the left of me is a book, it has some symbols scribbled inside, unfortunately, I cannot understand what is being said but the drawings inside seem to be telling a story. It shows how there is a temple above land and a person with high powers shadowing over it. Oh no, the temple is being crushed by this shadowy person. Here it shows the temple sinking into the ocean. Am I inside the ruins of that temple? It seems to have some sort of magical aura placed around it? I can sense the magic and unnatural feelings in the air. So that must be how this place seemed to have gotten here? It was a temple that was caused to sink into the ocean. Hmmmmm...

On the wall is some other device, a weapon of sorts? It is like an oversized handle with three knives on it, with the word: "Trident" written beneath it? What on earth is a Trident... As I thought that, a massive man appeared from the water, he said his name was Luzesis, God Of The Ocean. Was he a god? An actual god? I competed his statement to which he soaked me using only a click of his fingers. He wanted to thank me for finding his Trident and in return would like me to be his heir? Heir to what exactly? His heir to the ocean? To which I had to decline, I have a family that I needed to get back to. He clenched his fist in thought and asked me why I cared so much for my family, and I simply muttered: love.

His attitude changed and as he shrunk down to my size, he greeted me with open arms for he wanted to hug me for my bravery, he promised he would get me back to my family with a gift.

Chapter 3 - The Return

I have arrived home with the help of the God. His gift was a Bident, a form of Trident but was only limited to using its water abilities for the use of the good. I was greeted by my wife and son, they had taken care of my crops and they took care of each other. Though it only felt like five minutes, I was gone for fifteen years, four months and seventeen days.

And that my friends is the true power of the Ocean.

The End.
